Hi Guy's,

I'd really like some puncture resistant tyres in the size stated in the subject. I had some brilliant brilliant Schwalbe Marathon GT365's for my cyclocross bike which were as hard as nails. I cant find anything similar for my E-mountain bike. Any suggestions?

What makes you think can't use Schwalbe Marathon GT365 on an Ebike? ;)

Guess you mean mtb tyres though. any normal DH casing 29x2.5 mtb tyre is going to be tougher than those. But terrain and punctures on a cyclo cross bike generally differ from those in mtb

I'm not trying to be pedantic, but this is the interwebs, and it's not entirely clear. Are you running sealant? Almost everything is puncture resistant when you're running sealant.

Thank you for the reply, I could, but the treads not suitable for trail riding, maybe I should just try them and see how it goes.
That will depend hugely on your defition of "trail riding" and how much grip you feel you really need for it.
I run these in a 2.2" width on my hardtail for trail centre riding and local XC

The schwalbes you mentioned are available in 2.15" width and will have more grip

Sometimes not, I had my first puncture in 3 years yesterday and use sealant, used Slime and currently using Muc-Off. It was a small shard of glass that pierced the tyre and tube. I replaced the tube out on my ride and removed the piece of glass from the tyre. When I got home I was surprised that the tube had two small slits within about 25 mm of each other. Anyway back to my question?

You'll probably find those two slits weren't actually from the glass but caused by the tube pinching the rim on impact because of the glass puncture reduced your running pressure and in turn lowering your tyres sidewall support

Tubes, sealant filled tubes and dedicated tubeless set-ups all have their positives and negatives and none of them are a guarantee of no punctures.
To determine your best option in regards to puncture protection you'll first have to establish the actual cause of the punctures you're picking up.

Have a look here for discussion on tannus inserts. I only use one in the rear; I don't think I've had a puncture in the front while riding mtb.
