Done. No big changes. The navigation is a joke. You have to put your phone into landscape, LOL!!
No HR support, no onscreen navigation yet :(

Must admit I expected big things from the update, its crazy to now have screen sharing from Kiox 300 when they’ve omitted the charging point from it🤷‍♂️ At lest the old Kiox would charge your phone .
Still hoping for more updates! Hopefully Bosch have addressed the battery issues on Smart system

Garmin doesn’t automatically connect to flow app.

Smart Sam tyres will have something to do with that too. :)
Think my usual XC terrain would also take 2.6 Smart Sam tyres, even the hilly parts.

Smart sam is doing a perfect job to work and 40% gravel/tracks. Thats why i went for hardtail too. Hard to choose models in norway when the shops only have a few models available so maybe i will order a new full damper in september for the next year.

Did 22 miles yesterday, mixed tarmac, towpaths, gravel tracks and MTB trail, 1700ft ascent and still quoting me 20 miles left in eco. 61% remaining so in theory more than that.

There must be a bad batch of Bosch batteries about for the range to be so much different from one user to the next.

If you’re permanently using EMTB then that will definitely reduce your range. My ride was around 6 miles in Eco and 16 in Tour+, vastly different power usage.

I ride a trek powerfly 500kwh & cube HTC 750 . I ride them both in EMTB mode. In comparison the newer 750kwh doesn’t give me much more range 🤷‍♂️

Is the Powerfly differently specced to the Cube? I’m guessing they’re not both gen 4 motors?

I ride with my dad who has a purion specced Cube HT with gen 4 and 625Wh, his range estimate is huge but actual range drops much faster than on the smart system.

Then you factor in rider weight, bike setup, tyres, tyre pressure etc and you’d expect varying range. And of course rider effort.

At some stage it’ll be interesting to compare with another rider with the smart system on the same ride.

I’ve done the same 15 mile ride back to back in same mode on both bikes, obviously same weight, (11.5 stone) same route, same weather and I actually used more battery on the 750. I’ve also run them both from 100% to empty. I’ve been ridding my Trek for almost 2 years, I have a spare battery which I carry around with me for longer rides. My plan was to upgrade 750 with the hope I would get around 20 to 30% more range meaning I wouldn’t have to carry a spare battery. This isn’t the case, I hear of some people getting 50-60miles.
I was also advised a couple of months ago when I bought the bike it may need to do several charge cycles to optimise the battery. This also hasn’t made a different. I’m not sure what to do from here I’m may even sell the new bike on.

Interesting, I’ve gone from hardtail 500Wh gen 2 to Full Suspension 750Wh smart system, so don’t really know what to expect from the new bike once I get some longer summer rides in.

On the Hardtail a full battery would take me a little over 40 miles of mixed terrain, hills etc so going by yesterday I could probably achieve more on the new bike. Will have to see.

general rule of thumb across all types of ebikes/ peoples fitness lvl's is 10wh's per km

so 500wh should net you about 50km's

personally i think this is very accurate as with my 1600wh pack i very regularly get right around 150km's across a few days.

as low as 20wh per km. or as high as 5wh per km average of 10wh per km

yes he make 83 tour :) in two time. first 50% battery 54,4 km, second 50% battery 39,9 km all in default turbo mode...
But without a clear comparaison with another a smaller battery it's lake a comparaison. And it's don't say so much on real life...
