Mud!
View attachment 154968

My previous bike, a Focus Jam2. I had already stopped and scraped some mud off and came across two walkers coming the other way. I asked what the mud was like and they said that it hadn't bothered them. So instead of turning around I pressd on. The mud was worse. The motor would have kept going, but I was concerned that the mud would strip the paint from the frame. So I stopped and used sticks to drag the clay mud from the frame. 100 yards further on I had to do it again. I was OK after that.
Safely say I have never encountered mud like that .

I was riding through a lake of similar gloop in the middle of a wood once. As I got further in, it got deeper and deeper. Every pedal stroke just span the back wheel and I moved forward about an inch with every stroke. The mud was holding me upright, and it seemed to take forever to get through it . As I finally emerged victorious , I got a round of applause from a group of walkers who, unseen by me, had been watching my efforts from the sidelines.

Initially misread that as "... a group of wankers who ..."

You know mud is too deep when you lose a boot , sore on the tootsies those pedals .

I only lost boots on a farm. Do your Moos leave wider pats than Holsteiner? ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ˜‰
