A few hours at Grizedale today including an excellent cooked breakfast at the cafe.
I love tinned tomatoes on a cooked breakfast ...but chopped ..no way man ..they have to be "plum"..The Mother? As they do use otherwise on the website and for shops the german „Mutti“ the translation „Mother“ might not be accurate. The way we use Mutti is more like „Mummy“ / „Ma“.
Not to mix up with the other famous Mutti in Europe:

Stupid me! I first read „Lonesome Pine Closet“ and translated closet with loo, what could be helpful too. 🫣Shortly after this I left the Lakeside Way..to follow the forest road towards Wainhope ( bothy) where upon cresting the hill I could access the excellent section of singletrack on the Osprey Trail..before re-joining the Lakeside Way again ..

First ride out for a couple of weeks (yesterday)after an otb damaged the "rotator cuff" in my shoulder ..this following a cortisone injection on Tuesday which hasn't fully had a chance to kick in ..so did a "local" ride with very little technicality to ease back into things ..namely The Lakeside Way starting from the small car park near Kielder Viaduct ...
Its a 27 mile multi user route following the shoreline of Kielder Resevoir ..and bugger me but I can't remember the last time I did the full circuit which is a bit of a shame as what it lacks in technicality it more than makes up for in scenery ...and "art works" on the way around .
Apologies ..( but not really) for the amount of pics which follow.

WHAT THE…?
In my defence, I'd been down the pub & shouldn't have been cycling. Nevertheless, a perfectly navigable barrier jumped out in front of me, unprovoked & threw me to the groundWHAT THE…?
It's really annoying when the accomodation isn't as advertised ..I would ask the bastards for a full refund ..Started holidays in the Okanagan a few days ago …made a pit stop.

Day(something?) of our vacation. 7 others are still sleeping but I still get the bikes ready. A few years ago I convinced our other friends to get ebikes so the garage is starting to get cluttered.

Enjoy vacation!
Didn’t know that „we“ are famous for that as well. Having checked to be prepared for my next vacation I found that he must be from Berlin (BBC news)!Apart from sandals with socks, Germans are also famous for this behavior on vacation. Often while wearing sandals and socks.

A friend of mine drove home by car late in the night and a naked guy jumped on his car. Explain that to the police. That looks like the mystery-man I saw on a night ride in the middle of winter once.

I still see progress. Riding gloves are 100% better than white socks.View attachment 144429
Now all becomes clear..with toes like that I'd be wearing white socks aswell..
I think a full pardon would be OK on this occasion..
