Today on "Stick of the Day" - Zimmer Excels himself !

This particular trail consists of the Top part and a Bottom part. The top part was fine, the bottom part is virtually impassable.

So I was quite excited when I saw 5 guys at the top from the commune (council) with all the gear starting to tidy ..

Took them 1.5 hours .. to do what normally takes me 1 hour including tidying (I lived 500m down the road so used to do it).

Thought I'd give it a go again at the end of the ride .. Disaster. The trail is just littered with Gorse and Branches, dangerously so !

Amaziningly - the bottom part, which needed doing - they didn't touch !

Not wanting to seem judgemental .. but MORONS.

@ZF, what seat is this?
Looks hi-tech, how good is it?

As @Muzza says .. it's a Prologo Proxim.

According to Focus, it should come with the proxim w350 :

"Proxim" range :

This one is labelled as a 450, looks most similar to the 450 sport, but the crossing groove doesn't cross the central bit.. so who knows ! :)

I have to say, when I saw it I thought it looked like some form of futuristic torture device. The Henge Comp on the Kenevo looks and feels to touch, like a sofa in comparison.

Did read some reviews where they said not everyone got on with the saddle, but for me, I've had absolutely zero issues and zero discomfort during or after rides. I guess a lot will depend on people's body shapes.

Ain't no para anything off that winch. That's for the glidey big boys. Although to be fair, the Mynd gets plenty of para this & that. Used to be that distance records would be set form there, as the prevailing wind & controlled airspace downwind are favourable.

Sounded like a V8 winch, and the rate of climb was incredible even as a spectator.

I did a static line parachute jump about 40 years ago at Sunderland airfield ( now the site of the Nissan factory)..Great thrill ..but I was jealous and at the same time pleased when a few years ago my son who was in the Scouts got to go up in a glider ..and that's still on my bucket list to do one day ..

Mountains, alps, etc. Villars and Les Diablerets. The final shot is on the national piste into Ley Diablerets, I can ski that in around 3 or 4 minutes, takes a bit longer to ascend on the bike even with assistance :)

I once had the chance to have a ride in the old wooden gliders that were at (I think) Haddenham near Oxford. They looked like the Colditz escape glider.

Jan'80 was my static line jump. It was in the doorway of the plane at 2000' that I discovered I wasn't too good with heights! I jumped, but once was enough!
At about that time, we used to drive up and down the A1a lot and every time my wife saw gliders soaring she said that she'd love to have a go. I can take a hint, so for her birthday I paid £80 for a trip (lot of money in the early 80's). Non-refundable but can be taken anytime during a12-month period. She never went up!

Great 25 mile loop from Chapel Whitney south of Hexham. Good mix of surfaces and dry !!
For this on the forum who are familiar with this ride the single track from Tedham Moss taking in Pikeley Rigg, Hangman’s Hill and leaving the common at Kings Law was spectacular. I’ve never ridden this in such dry conditions, utterly brilliant. Tight singletrack and after the Xroad at Hangman’s Hill the trail was total a total rockfest……great riding.

Just got home from a progression skills coaching day at Dalby with Mission Mountain Biking. Had us dropping & jumping off all sorts of features I wouldn’t have dreamed of doing myself. Fantastic day out, knackered now. Conquered the 6ft rock drop into Worry Gill, stoked ??
