Ive been putting a parts list together for E22 Trail/Commuter. I know very little about bikes so it’s took me a while to get this far, and I need some advice.

Im looking for drivetrain recommendations. From what I’ve read 9 speed seems to be the best option for the m620?

This is the list so far. If I’ve made any silly choices please correct me.

Motor: Bafang Ultra M620

Battery: 52v 21700 cell battery

Frame: E22

Suspension fork: Fox 38 Float Factory E-Tuned Grip 2

Damper: Fox float X2 2pos-Adj

Brakes: Hope Tech 4 V4, Hope floating rotors 203mm

Drivetrain: 9 speed?

Wheels: Hope Fortus 35 29”

Tyres: Maxxis Pace

Stem: Hope AM 35mm

Handle bars: Hope carbon 35mm

Grips: ODI Rogue

Seatpost: Fox suspension Transfer (2021)

Peddles: Hope F20

Cranks: Hope 155mm E-bike crankset

Thanks.

Use steel cogs for longer life. Damn the weight penalty. Cheaper to replace also which you will be doing more than the average eBike dependent on how it is ridden of course.

Would definitely go with a 52v 21700 cell battery, best combo I have used with my M620.

I’ll definitely go with your battery recommendation. Steel cogs seem the way to go too.

This has been more work than I thought it would be, and I’ve not bought anything yet. My last bike was £200 from toys r us in 92 :)

Fox 34 step-cast is for lightweight XC racing bikes. It is very much flexible. I would choose at least fox 36 or even fox 38 for this type of bike you are building.
