Any particular mud guards that you recommend for the e160? Would like a bit more coverage than the ones that came with the bike so I don’t look like I shat myself when I get to work... ?

I went for a RRP ProGuard on the back and a Crud XL Fender on the front as the trails are especially soggy at the mo!! They seem to do the trick.

Got out on my whip for the first time since recovering from the virus.
New bars, grips and saddle but otherwise standard. Next mod is going to be the E7000 shifters when I get chance/sell some of my bits.

Anyone else polish/wax their rides? This thing absolutely glows!

Hey guys

I've been hunting high and low for a parts list for eOne-Sixty 900e and the closest I got was this webpage:

2019-Merida-DealerBook-MERIDAOnline

Unfortunately it doesn't list anything regarding the front assembly.

I'm specifically looking for what type/size headset bearings are used (Top and bottom) as I need to order some spares. I don't feel like pulling the bike apart as it's in a storage cage and needs to be put back to store properly.

Thanks for any info!

Here you go, I took some pictures when I had mine out last time.

Hi how easy is it to change a shifter inner and outer cable on a e160? Mine is getting a bit sticky.
Cheers.
Not hard, but will take a fair bit of time to drop the motor out of the way and remember you will need the correct middle section of little bits that go behind the chainring, cant remember the propper name for them, sorry.

Just remembered that its Jagwire, that make the correct outer cable.

I have read about problems with battery cover, but I made new battery cover from carbon just to reduce weight. Now the battery cover with straps weights around 30g compared to over 300g with the original one. My bike weights currently with pedals around 20.8kg.

Yesterday was New Bike Day ????

Wasn't my own LBS who delivered the bike as mine is completely closed due to Corona, so after a small ride in my garden I noticed I can turn the battery on but the engine stays in off on the display. Can't change mode ?. And chain won't go to the two biggest sprockets. ?

One the good side I already love the bike. Handles so well, rides so smooth. Rides easily without the engine on.
Happy. Happy. Happy.

Concerning the engine, apparently I needed to completely charge the battery the first time as it charged this night and I just tried it and it works.

Nice one, just like mine. Love it, they're so much fun. Did 30km this morning on the local trails.

Make sure the 3 wires are securely plugged into the screen, if the mode selector switch isn't working it could be a loose wire.

It works now. Probably battery needed a first charge, I suppose. But have to try a not ride it now, want to install invisiframe protection first.

Hello,
I found a brand new dt swiss 1501 cross country wheel in 29 inch front for a good price
It is not the 35mm wide hx wheel that is originally fitted on my 900. It is a narrower 2,5 rim for cross country.
Should I buy and give it a try with a 2.5 tyre? When I ride at home I am in the woods and on gravel most of the time. An I am not heavy at all. Only use bike for enduro riding on vacation and I will keep the oem wheel.

It seems some on here like it but personally - when I tried it on my size XL - it just felt wrong. The bike already has a high headset stack and it seems to exacerbate that (I have the stem slammed to minimise this).
The bike lost that playful, confidence inspiring balance that is one of its most lovable features. I think if you want a slacked out sled you are better off getting another bike, or else putting in an Angleset with the 27.5 front wheel?
Thata what i found out the hard way, the big wheel caused all sorts of handling problems, so reverted to a minus 1.5 degree head set and longer fork which is now bang on!
