Nice - hopefully getting to ride a comp and an expert at the weekend
Nice. Will be interesting to hear how they compare. The lower weight and the sharper turning radius of the Comp might make them a bit different.

Very nice to see the bike on Norwegian soil. I’ve ordered a S5 Expert (185cm) and also that they change the tires to Maxxis Assegai. Very interesting to hear your take on the original tires. In Bergen we have alot of mud, and not much sand, so I need a tire that releases mud fast.

Thanks again for a well made and interesting video!

I prefer the 2.6 Blck Diamond over the more lightweight 2.8 Butchers on the old model, especially when riding park. They felt nice on the natural trails too. But it wasn't much deep mud and the rocks were somewhat dry, so I didn't get to test it in properly wet conditions.

Picked up my Comp from ACE Bicycles Burpham yesterday after the guys set it up for me !
Took it over pitch hill for a 3 hr 1st date , we hit it off instantly ☺️ I’m 5’10ish , 12.5st and Toby recommended a S3 which I thought would be too small but after adding a renthal stem and bars , moved the seat back 10mm it was perfect ! Switched between all the modes but did most decents in eco which was enough . Jumping was no different to a non ebike which was very pleasing , on the steep rough bits it did sink into trace abit but turned the hi/low combined compression to half and it was slot better. Will have a play with some tokens when they arrive . The Marzocchi shock was pretty good too , didn’t do anything it shouldn’t and I just forgot about it . This thing is a trail rocket that handles anything I could do , felt very nimble and the more I rode the better it felt . After 3ish hrs the battery still had 3bars left ! Very happy , no need for the big bro version !

Picked up my kenevo today at 5:30 and managed to get out for an hour
It’s a S3 and I’m 5’8 tall and size wise it feels fine
It feels faster down than my 2019 Kenevo but slow up but it did only have bars on
Tomorrow it will be fully charged and I’ve put some proper pedals on instead of the plastic that came with it. I’ve put my mudguard on so it will get a proper test in the morning at Grenoside and warnchiffe

You deserve a medal for hitting any trail with the specialized "get them out the door" pedals!

I’m loving it , just can’t wait to get out onit . I feel like a kid again seriously ? Was abit worried I’d made a mistake selling my patrol but this thing does everything and more ! Still working on fork settings though ?

Just what I wanted to hear haha. Sat on one last night in my lbs. Looks so sick the comp model. That was gonna be my next question? What's the fork and shock like?

This chart...... is :poop: and can't be serious
Well, it might be for the flat-earth society :ROFLMAO:

It's a bit interesting isn't it .. I think it was created by two drunk Chinese language translators who weren't sure how many inches were in a foot so took a few random guesses ..

There's other bonuses like "manueverability", instead of the more traditional "maneuverability"

I guess whatever that is it stays manoeuvrable for ever.

I’m 81kg , 5.10 and got the S3 . Shock is good just get the rebound right and forget it . Forks will take abit of tinkering but will come good ! 25% sag is too much atm

I'm the same weight and height, s3 is the one I'll probably go for. Is the bike good on all types of trails? I'm after a black trail beast, but also ok on the more flowy trails

I took it if peaslake Surrey hills which has all sorts of trails from flowy , steep rough and jumpy trails plus a lot of techy climbs and it was a blast ! There again this weekend then a trip to BPW next !

The Marzocchi shock on my comp exploded yesterday ! The chamber dial seized , was knocking and lost oil . A bit disappointing on 2nd proper ride but took it in to Ace Bicycles and they quickly swapped it ! Hope it’s a one off ! Edited lol

What about right off the tip of the front of the seat? Maybe also tell me if the seat is offset in any direction?. Thanks!
Don’t think the post is offset but everyone will have there seat at different angles and post at different heights so have measured up from behind the crank to top-tube/seat-tube meet “ 28 inches “ !
That’s probably a reason stand over height isn’t stated !

Finally picked up my huntsman-green S4 Kenevo today. Unfortunately it was a bit too late, so i only had a short ride.
First impression: What a little monster...we will surely become BB´s

Thanks! That seem to be pretty low. Good for my short-ish legs. I might have to buy before I try. No demo bikes in my area.

The new shock is working and I’ve added a fork token to the one in there , set the sag to 20% . It feels much better , sits higher , doesn’t dive down and hasn’t bottom yet . Feels stiffer but comfy enough over bumps.
Went to it to BPW yesterday, no rain but very damp . After slowing the rebound a few clicks on the shock it was sweet , this bike jumps fine ( at first I wanted more powered speed but once you can land in the sweet spot and pump it was fast enough , for now) and absolutely flies around flowy trails . Was as good on the rough stuff . Was surprised how good the butcher diamonds were ! We managed 4 runs on the 500 wt battery then stopped for an hr lunch , we took a geny to charge 3 bikes which wasn’t powerful enough but all got just over half battery life . We used the uplift in the afternoon and did another 4 downs ! It was quicker to ride up than queue and get the bus ! Next time I’d climb on a lower power then an hr lunch charge would be enough for the rest or the day . We took my 2020 comp a 2019 expert and a borrowed Olly Wilkins focus , we all had a blast !

Really liking it so far. Some thoughts

About 100 miles / 7 rides in:

- S5 size is perfect for me at 191cm / 6’3”
- Climbs very well, steep seat post helps as does the chain 455mm chain stay
- Seems less powerful than the Levo. About 80%. Prob due to geo / weight, travel
- 160mm seat post no where near long enough on S5. I like to run my dropper slammed to frame.
- Code brakes OK but already need to bleed the rear as it’s coming back to bars.
- BLCK DMND tyres are really good. Going to but the Hillbilly version on front for winter.
- Triple clamp is great, stiff, precise.
- Knees hurts more after a ride but could be due to moving to clipless at the same time as getting the Kenevo.

My new podcast chat channel with some thoughts. Warning: long.

This new 2020 Specialized Kenevo.....

If you've got sideways movement in both pedals when sitting on the saddle, with your feet in their natural position. If you don't feel the sideways movment of your feet being limited by the pedals when riding. And if your cleats aren't positioned too far forward on your shoes, then I doubt the clipless pedals are to blame. But you never know, could be worth switching back to flats to see if it helps. I believe it's caused by the 77* STA though. You're getting pushed really far forward on the bike. It's great for climbing steep stuff, and when descending it doesn't matter. But for longer streches of pedalling, some people/knees will suffer. With one foot at 12 o'clock, the angle of the knee is soo sharp. Putting force through the pedals with so much bend on the knee joint strains the knees.
