I pick mine up Saturday can’t wait not sure on the front fork because I use my 2019 for everything and love it. I think it’s just that it looks more for just full on down hill

I’m 5’10 and I tried the S3 & S4 in store and decided on having the S4.

I contacted my store today and went from S4 to S5. It´s gonna be a big change in regards of reach compared to what I´m used to, but I´m 186cm so I´m within Spec S5 size range. Also based this on several posts with people that are 185 that stated that it felt kinda small.

This is my first ebike ever. Finally I can get deep into my local hills on a tight time budget. As a father of two, soon three this is perfect!

So, now I´m going into the woods to find something to eat for the next year or two as I am totally skint... (and I´m still paying down my Canyon Sender...)

Here it is! It´s kinda funny because the S5 has 165-193 written on it. My store manager thought that either it was an error or it was a statement that reach is "not" size and that you should feel your way to the correct size.

I was really back and forth on this, but chose a longer bike than I usually ride because of the trails around where I live. Also I got feedback from other riders with similar hight as me that told me to go big as they felt the S4 was a tad small.

Wow... this is really confusing.

I ordered a Kenevo today without a special colour or size and i'm glad to have the possibility of riding some different sizes (S3/S4) next week. I'm 183cm and didn't thought, that S5 could also be possible.
Curios about it.

This is Specialized new sizing structure and I think that all the new bikes will follow. I like the fact that you can easily size up / down based on reach and if you prefer stability over agility, or visa versa.

This could make sense, but i think, a test ride with different sizes will be more important then. At least a problem if you have to preorder a bike.

And i would like to see a 165cm rider on a S5... falling asleep on the trails.

Picked up my kenevo today at 5:30 and managed to get out for an hour
It’s a S3 and I’m 5’8 tall and size wise it feels fine
It feels faster down than my 2019 Kenevo but slow up but it did only have bars on
Tomorrow it will be fully charged and I’ve put some proper pedals on instead of the plastic that came with it. I’ve put my mudguard on so it will get a proper test in the morning at Grenoside and warnchiffe

A couple of adjustments to the rebound and tyre pressures and she’s feeling pretty sweet right now

Bit more pedal strike and the motor does run on for a second or two after I stop pedaling though.....could be software maybe?

Yep I noticed that run on and he’d to sort rebound not sure about tyres yet I want ride it a few times

Well.... the more I ride it the more I like it.
It feels very agile for such a big bike.
Can definitely feel the weight compared to my Levo, but seems to hold nice lines even in the more technical stuff.
Amazingly the front is planted so much more than my Levo (‘18 Expert) when climbing. I thought I’d be trying to keep over the front to stop the front lifting - but no!
And any worries I had about size have all but disappeared - in fact I’d probably have struggled to get the straps done up on the bike rack due to its length (only just get this one on with a bit of effort)......
But doesn’t feel too small and probably helps with the agility as well.
Pretty stoked, was looking at the YT and RM as possible alternatives but glad I waited - so far very happy with my purchase ?

Had the best day out on mine yesterday, my plan was to just take it easy and get a feel for it, it didn’t take long, gave me so
Much confidence, it just eats anything up, feels so stable! It’s the best I’ve ever ridden! I can’t wait to get back out on it!

Yeah, sizing is weird, 5 bikes and they're all size S


There's gotta be a few typos in that list. Look at the imperial figures, they seem to be correct... 158 cm does not equal 5'5. 165cm does not equal 5'10. The correct metric measurement for S5 should be about 180-193cm. Which is still a pretty wide range of rider heights.

The stack measurements are probably correct, but it's not easy understanding them. This is a good example of why you can't say that one given reach measurement is right for a given rider height. We need to consider more factors. In this case you'll probably get a better impression by just looking at the effective top tube length (ETT).

Picked up my Comp from ACE Bicycles Burpham yesterday after the guys set it up for me !
Took it over pitch hill for a 3 hr 1st date , we hit it off instantly I’m 5’10ish , 12.5st and Toby recommended a S3 which I thought would be too small but after adding a renthal stem and bars , moved the seat back 10mm it was perfect ! Switched between all the modes but did most decents in eco which was enough . Jumping was no different to a non ebike which was very pleasing , on the steep rough bits it did sink into trace abit but turned the hi/low combined compression to half and it was slot better. Will have a play with some tokens when they arrive . The Marzocchi shock was pretty good too , didn’t do anything it shouldn’t and I just forgot about it . This thing is a trail rocket that handles anything I could do , felt very nimble and the more I rode the better it felt . After 3ish hrs the battery still had 3bars left ! Very happy , no need for the big bro version !

I think you have a winner ! Unless you want anonymity, you have a top ten memorable name. Not sure you can change it, well other than a simple hack.

Very nice to see the bike on Norwegian soil. I’ve ordered a S5 Expert (185cm) and also that they change the tires to Maxxis Assegai. Very interesting to hear your take on the original tires. In Bergen we have alot of mud, and not much sand, so I need a tire that releases mud fast.
