I ordered the Orbea Wild M-LTD more than four months ago, and the bike is still nowhere near being delivered. Should i cancel the order and wait for the new model ?

Depends which battery you ordered, it either makes almost no difference (750wh) or a small difference in weight (600wh).

We'll see on Monday of the motor itself is much different, all rumours point to no major changes except shape/mounting.

The 600wh battery is much lighter than the current 750wh at a whopping 1.4kg difference and 0.5kg lighter than the current 625wh.
I tried to new motor and it has far less drag than the current one and no rattle, at least when new.
I would go for the new model for sure as the current model will probably be heavily discounted once the new one comes out.

I just spoke with a Bosch dealer. They already have all the info, but they can't discuss it until the 1st of October. You're pretty much spot on: less rattle, less drag, lighter batteries, but everything else looks the same. There's also a new display and a new ride mode. No updates for the Race Edition

Bosch 625Wh battery weighs about 3.5kg and because weights are roughly proportional to capacity a 600Wh battery would weigh about 3.36kg. So if the 600Wh battery weighs 3kg that's about a 11% improvement in weight which can be put down to improved packaging and slightly lighter/more efficient cells. Pretty trivial tbh.

As for less motor drag/rattling, will await real life use.

In my above post I calculated about 360 grams, so if it really is 300 grams then that is even less of a weight difference.

Did you get it at the new sale prices or did you pay the price from earlier in the year?

If it’s at the sale price, which is like a 25% reduction I’m not sure the updates would justify going with the 2025. That would be a significant amount of money.

I ordered the bike a good 4 months ago, and to this day, I still haven't received it. I also contacted Orbea yesterday, and they hinted between the lines that the bike hasn't even been made yet. The online price was slightly higher than it is today...

Orbea has the 2025 battery listed as a BBP3775, the current bike has the same battery so I believe you are correct. Which is disappointing. I'm still going to watch the presentation again, I was positive it said a lighter 750wh battery so maybe they missed that on their end.

I just saw the new 2025 Wild at my dealer. No race motor, 600 Wh battery is the only option.

Maybe with lighter casing tires. But I doubt it with DH casings.

Likely they have not access to the whole catalog.

I would hope they offer MX but I do not think this will come pretty soon.

You really sure you do not know? I mean there are tons of reasons.

For example my Trek LBS, order buy in advance per year and get them per deliver per quarter. No way to get on demand.

I guarantee you that they will do whatever they can to tell you the bike they have in stock or will have in stock is the right for you.

No offense, they need to eat too but still I dislike these behaviors

In their system (configurator), only this option was available, that's what they told me. Anyway, glad to hear that there will be more options.

I've read (but can't remember where) more than one review/test where (Bosch?) 750Wh batteries don't last much longer than 625Wh batteries when theoretically 750Wh should last about 20% longer than 625Wh.

I would be confident in saying the my bike with the 750wh gets 20% better range than my 2022 Wild with a 625wh battery.

Oh ya , exo+ spec to dh tires eats up the new battery cell savings. Gen 5 motor and mullet might get it to 47lbs without any real effort. Not bad. Make the fork 180 and thatd be a weapon. Put the amflow chat to bed for another trial year

The current 750 is actually more a 725 .It does have better range than the 625 for sure,but not exactly 20%.
The new 800 is a real 800 with modern cells so it should have around 15% more range than the current 750 at 500gr less weight !

Still wonder when a battery die or reach very low health … with integrated battery non removable is your bike just going to the trash?
That really sounds scary, especially past warranty.
