I thought about waiting for the new levo for a long time, but they can't equalize the amflow, let alone top it. My requirements are :
Trail bike not enduro
20kg
800wh
160/150 travel
Top motor
8-12 amp charging
and the price!
Too bad they can't manage that.
Other than price you are close :)

I have never seen a new bike model launched on a Monday.
Blue Monday would distort perceptions and increase criticism from skeptics.
The preferred day is usually a Wednesday or, alternatively, Tuesday or Thursday.
Not Friday, as people are already thinking about the weekend... 😅

Specialized has made a mistake (imho) with timing on this bike .
When customers realize high quality bikes (Forbidden,Unno and at least 4 others) will come with Dji this year, the new Levo will not be the "star" of the show uppon launch. It will sure be at the front, but not the leader as it once was.
I understand they had stocks to worry about, but customers don't care about that...

If they just had the press launch last weekend I’d think the launch will still be a few weeks away. They need to give time to the media outlets and reviewers to prepare articles, videos etc. to coordinate with the launch.

Customers care about warranty and support and the star is still shiny and sparkling In this respect at Specialized

I mean it depends on what motor they have gone with. We still don't know that info yet. I find it hard to believe it's a Brose Peak at this point but we'll see soon. Hopefully whatever it is sets a new standard for reliability. Industry needs to move away from motors being seen as a consumable.

Believe ... I was sure it is a new Mahle but it seems they went with their long time partner still.
Correct .. the Gen4 was originally developed around the Mahle M20 motor. There was an aspect about the motor which didn't really fit with the ethos of the Levo.

Therefore they started again. In effect, the Gen4 Levo we'll get is actually the Gen5 - hence the delay ! Seems crazy and must have cost a fortune in parts development, supply chain, moulds etc - but it's Spesh and to give them their due, they want things to be right.

Presumably there's some original Gen4 development bikes out there which would be quite a cool and interesting bike to get your hands on. Maybe one day someone will do a feature on "The bike that never was - The (off) road to perfection" .

Crazy. So is it a Brose Peak they are using or something else Brose have cooked up? I feel given the stats we know about the Peak it would be pretty underwhelming in 2025.

not really cause the peak 3 is not finished right now and with the Mahle doesn´t work, so they had no other choice to tune the S Mag. And some rumors say the Motor is called Specialized Motor and not Brose so they can sell it as "new"
Sorry, complete bullshit in my eyes...

Every Gen was called Specialized.

Man I don't know how that would go down. Obviously, from an engineering point of view they could/should have made that reliable by now with many hardware and software updates. But from a branding stake, the main thing holding a lot of us back from a levo, after the price, is the reliability concerns of that specific motor. They would really be shooting themselves in the foot if they release a bike with the same motor, unless they do something different with warranty 4years transferrable or something. I really hope that is the next big development in ebikes now that power, weight, geo, range and integration are all coming to a standstill.

If it was still the Brose S-Mag it would be a big flop, as well as a side cover for the battery with an open frame.
Steps back Instead of forwards !!! o_O:(
I think is the new Brose Peak which is in fact late with development and therefore supplies. Will see ... ;)

I think the new levo has to come with dji motor, otherwise they will miss everything. Brose is too heavy in the past, too problematic and inconsistent. Who is going to buy a 23kg brose 110nm bike for 13000 eur ?
Specialized is out of California and dji is not legal in California now. The new California law now clearly states anything over 750watts is not class one. The law formally stated “continuous 750 watts” now it just states “750 watts”. Just like that, no dji.

I'm tired of reading about the DJI motor. Motor isn't everything. In my eyes, the current Levo is better than the Amflow. Also, there are no other bikes with the DJI motor, nor is there much information about the new Levo, but people continue comparing the next-gen Levo with the Amflow or other bikes that have not yet been released.
