All bike brands will run into problems, big or small and Specialized is up to date the best on handling warranties that's just a fact although it's impossible to please everyone.
Hopefully this will continue.
Yes not so many ebikes in my area that are being used in anger. But the few I know are all on second or third motor.

My current 22' Levo Gen 3 also developed a motor problem last fall. I took it to the dealer when I first observed the normal noise getting louder under load. They diagnosed it and did not see it as being worthy of warrantee replacement at that time. The Motor belt gave up about 3 months and less than 175 mi, later. The Dealer determined that it was terminal at that point, and sent it to Specialized for warrrantee replacement. But unfortunately, Specialized determined that it was just past the warrantee period. Specialized wound up replacing the motor under what they termed "assisted replacement". The reduced cost of the new motor was $ 780. Needless to say, I am looking forward to the new beltless motor of the Gen 4 Levo for hopefully improved longevity and reliability.

I would be looking forward to never buying a specialised product ever again personally... Don't think they treated this fairly at all for a well known design flaw just months out of warranty.

*to be clear, I have had similar experiences with warranties being weaselled out of, it happens all the time, but I wouldn't be rushing back to that manufacturer.

….especially as ‘the noise’ was reported inside warranty.
Yes shouldn't have got away with that dealer needs a kicking . One of mine was squealing like a pig. , i was told by my dealer Specialized won't warranty on a noise but keep an eye on it and don't worry . Sure enough it lasted about three weeks and went so so got another one no problem .

This is unacceptable! I'm sure a decent dealer will get this fixed for you under warranty or under a good will, especially when you have reported it within warranty ... Gen2 Levo 2.1 motors even had warranty extended to 4 years due to so many had issues with it, and Gen3 Levos with 2.2 motors are not that much different/better to 2.1 so they still should take care of it for you ...

People seem to have different experiences with Specialized dealers. I have so good dealer that it's main reason to buy Specialized. I had only two warranty case, motor and freehub. Both we handled immediately without questions. Motor wasn't even broken, but there was clear evidence that it will be soon (sprag clutch...?) and freehub I maybe broke myself when I dropped it and they changed it anyway, even that I told what happened :D

Yes some dealers are fantastic or have a lot of clout. I got frame replaced headset worn as I used it loose so sent a video. New frame was in dealers shop before they had seen it . Picked up error so put new motor in as well. Posted that 10 times probably so apologies

Wondering why some Tigers 🐅 haven't put the Amflow through its paces. It's ok test pilots but they are probably way more skilled than your average rider who messes up and hits the occasional tree. If you think about it I could ride three times a week Bill two and Bob for two so 200 miles a week Clocked up a few thousand miles on bike by now . So if me you and someone else chips in we could get an Amflow and have a ball. Friday night remember.

Gen 4 bike should / has got to be / I hope it is / a much more reliable bike if that is possible yet ? . If not it's a massive blow to the company ,i wish them well.

My last one whistled when climbing for about 3 weeks , then one big squeal of pain and it died . Only 7 miles from home on road . Good luck .
That sucks, and I also worry about breaking down miles from home. Did your motor make a whistling sound like this? Turn up the volume high on your computer, because some people told me that they could not hear it, but I do. Here: Vocaroo | Online voice recorder

Yes same but mine was slightly louder. I was a bit more careful where I rode .
