Hi,

I ordered a Hope 36T chainring for my S3 Kenevo Expert 2022. It hasn’t arrived yet but I’ve just discovered it might not fit as the 32T is already quite close to the chainstay.

This is not a problem on the Gen 3 Levo I have.

Has anyone with the latest Kenevo managed to fit a 36T or are we stuck with a 34T max ?

Thanks

So I’ve just checked the clearance on a 32T in high and low settings on the suspension link. Summary clearance is very tight.

High

Low

Also I checked the diameter of a 34T vs 32T

32T = 135mm
34T = 143mm

So a 34T would be an extra 4mm

I have theoretically 10mm clearance to play with. Not sure what the diameter of the 36T is though.

For completeness and conclusion ….

If anyone has searched for this and stumbled accross my thread:-

On my S3 2022 Kenevo Expert with flip chip in high (to counteract my mullet setup) I have no issues fitting a 36T Hope Spiderless Chainring. It is tight however it does not foul the frame.

It’s transformed the transmission and I am now higher up in the cassette than on a 32T which means more teeth are being engaged. Should equal less wear.
