I scratched the screen of the shimano EP8 display.

Hello. Today I had a crash with the ebike in the mountain, I scratched the screen of the Shimano EP8 display, the scratch is superficial but it is quite visible and big. Do you know a home remedy to remove the scratches?

Try any very mild abrasive, like that used for soft metals. Such as Dura Glit for gold and silver.
Car bodywork scratch remover may do quite well.

This may be worth a try, paint over the screen with a clear colourless varnish or lacquer. I'm thinking of something like nail varnish. Dilute it with acetone first. If it doesn't work remove the varnish with acetone. Try the acetone on a corner of the screen first just to be safe.

Once you have a clear screen, put some protective film over the screen. You could try bike tape, but maybe the sort of screen protector that you put on your mobile may work better.

Hello Steve. Now i've used metal cleaner in the EP8 display, it is very similar a car bodywork scratch remover and it works, the scratches have disappeared.
