Hello,

I have a question about compatibility of Galfer floating rotors (223mm) with Rockshox 35 Gold Rl 15x110MM 29″ 160MM 44mm off set forks.
In fork specification it says its compatible with maximum 220mm disc rotors but can 223mm rotors work to as they are only 3mm bigger?
I want to change my crapy resin only factory rotors Shimano FT:SMRT30 203mm Rr: RTEM300 With Magnet 203mm so thats why I am looking into this Galfer rotors.

Thanks for all the help i can get.

cheers

the galfer is not that good, It was smooth for the first hundred km then it started to feel like wet brake pads, i installed new pads but that didn't help

new sram hs2 220 and adaptor, problem solved

Galfer has floating rotors? I’ve never seen them on their website before or in any catalogs.

Do you have a link to them you could share?

I very much doubt that a 35mm fork is compatible with 220mm rotors. See what rockshox says.
I have just fitted one on my fox 38s , but wouldn't dream of having it on anything much thinner.

also a +60 mm adaptor is rare. I found one made by Reverse Components to use on a fox 34 but maybe not a good idea

Why are the rotors "resin only" just fit the pads you want. I always do.

If your spec says it's compatible with 220 mm then I wouldn't worry about 223, it's just 1% difference and the specification should be understated anyway to include a safety margin :) I ride 223 Galfer rotors on my Lyrik, upgraded from 203 sram rotors, and they are dissipating heat much faster which makes braking more consistent on longer descents, I'm very happy with the upgrade.
