I’m looking to upgrade my fork to a Fox 36. I noticed that Fox has an ebike specific fork. With the lighter weight of the SL is it worth it for the ebike fork? Or would a normal 36 be just fine?

Wouldn't bother. Ebike ones use same internals as 34s, and just have thinker walls to make up for extra weight on ebikes.

The SL comes with standard forks stock. The 36s are burlier than 34s anyhow, they will be fine.

I have the E-bike specific Factory 36 on both of my Comp Levo's. Just a little correction, the Damper is 36 and the airspring is 34. It's a Grip2 damper.
Not sure about the SL, but on my Comp's it's dream.

As for the cost, I already had it lying around, but managed to pick it up from chain reaction for £500. The difference? I'm not sure, feels a bit stiffer than the 34 but apart from that not being an elite level rider I cant tell.

I have just put a 2021 FOX36 (ebike edition) in my Turbo Levo and I can feel the difference from my previous 34. I have also changed from 150mm to 160mm. I usually go uphill through narrow technical paths and there’s no problem.
Ebike edition has solid fork head.
Here’s my video!
