In the normal world of bikes, yes, that would be correct ..

When you have people queuing out of the door offering you more than the RRP just to get a bike, why would anyone discount 10%

"Oh hi, yes, I know the 5 people behind me in the queue are desperate for this bike and will give you anything, but I was wondering, could we do a bit of a deal ?"

My LBS couldnt give me a date and most retailers seem to be quoting October/November

Another reason was the environmentalists had been promoting bikes as a great thing but now so many people had them they moved on to other concerns like pollution instead. There was a change in government which saw a key supporter of bikes move on to new pastures. The oil crisis was coming to an end and people were getting back in their cars and finally there was the hoola hoop phenomenon where some people bought bikes to look trendy simply because everyone else was buying them. They didn’t really enjoy them and they soon collected dust. All these factors lead to a huge crash in sales.

I did have an E-Mail from Tredz today to say thay they had found some Paint Damage on the Seat Stay while building the Bike



Negotiated a £250 Voucher and a Tubeless Conversion Kit.
Ill cover the Damage with a Sticker and some Heli Tape

Oh Gutted for you. At least Tredz contacted me and gave me the option of Compensation or waiting for another Bike.
