So as the title suggests do people on here dislike specialized turbo Levo owners and there bikes the reason I ask is because there’s a lot of threads on here with loads of different people commenting and replying yet when I have come across turbo Levo threads not a lot of people take any interest is there a reason for this?

Over the last couple of years I would say that the Specialized section of the forum has been the busiest. I suppose most things have now been covered regarding the levo. Many people disregard them due to a bad rep for motor failure, and they have been a very popular bike... the most popular. So that in itself makes them unpopular. Spesh were ahead of the game for a few years but most other makes have caught up, so there is now much more choice. Many also see their bike pricing as high with under spec'd Components.

I get you thanks for your input ! That makes sense iv had my Levo for just under 12 month which is my first ebike and first bike from when I used to ride 8-9 years ago iv had no problems with my Levos motor so far but iv only done 2800+ miles on it changed a few parts etc… but I couldn’t afford another ebike as even £2500 is a lot of money for me to get hold of altho I have wanted the kenevo since I bought my Levo comp lol

As leats with apes, you buy the latest model and 6 or 12 months later they bring out an even more desirable bike that makes your bike feel old fashioned…..’Perceived Obsolescence’ designers call it.

I have a TL and tbh as others have said over the last couple of years the bike has become pretty sorted to be honest so not a lot to discuss in terms of issues/concerns any more.

If zimmerframe still owns a levo then for sure they’re the most hated humans on the planet.
It's a Kenevo !

Kenevo owners hate being painted with the same brush as Levo owners, everyone hates Levo owners :ROFLMAO:

They even came up with a name which no one can ever remember - so we can enjoy ourselves without being labelled !

If anyone does, they only think it's like a Evolution of a male Barbie Doll.

I was riding just the other day with a Levo owner buddy of mine and he stated how much he disliked the $1400 price tag of the 700wh battery he desires as his only has the 500wh one.....I had a hard time commiserating because I have been pricing a spare 840wh battery for my bike and it is less than $500. So to me it is less about the poor suckers that have them than the big bad company that produces them.

I'll happily fist bump any other mtb'er out there. I don't care what they're riding - although I would like to meet someone riding the Ducati just so I could have a good mooch at it

Why do people hate Specialised? maybe because they are a very successful company like Apple ? people prefer to love the 'underdogs' Unfortunately the lower priced Levos are not well equipped now compared to the competition and not many people can afford an S-works although weirdly they do seem to sell them all? They are still a great bike but maybe needs a new motor design now to keep up with the competition. I was surprised that Rob 'jumped ship' but he does get to try them all so has a good idea of which ones are the best to ride. I agree that Specialised have the best integration of any e-bike with a neat controller, no pointless handlebar display and ugly switches. (but please get rid of the turbo button, no point to it) in my opinion, or give it a secret Jame Bond style function like a taser for when your approached by trail muggers who wish to take your expensive bike off you :)

To me, a Levo and Kenevo are the same from a distance. I can’t tell the difference until I pass them, while climbing, in a rock garden, often. Most of these owners are probably nice sometimes but I don’t discriminate …I spin equal amounts of mud and rocks at them. Speaking Trek as a second language comes naturally around here too so most riders eventually conform. 😉…sorry, but it’s true. (More meds 💊please and thank you).
