Bosch has a new update coming with the new screen it will be on par power wise with the DJI. The new Specialed Levo also has similar power. Amflow was just first good for them because their frame is umm ewwww.
I'm sure they will. The reason I chose Amflow, is because of the starting price of the bike. AUD$9400 which is USD$5900. You aren't going to get an EMTB for that price, with the new Specialized or Bosch Motors, when/if they come out with the same power as the Avinox.

Sure I bought the hi-spec Pro for AUD$4500 more, but that was because I wanted the Eagle Transmission Groupset, and I wanted the Kashima Coated Suspension and dropper, for the Black and Gold styling.

Regarding the frame. All my MTB buddies I showed the photo of the Amflow to, didn't even realise it was an EMTB. And I really prefer the traditional MTB look they have achieved. But styling is personal preference thing. So I don't get too caught up in those sort of discussions. Everyone has their own styling preferences.

In real terms can you notice difference in the suspension when riding between the 2 bikes. Also with regards casette -will it last lot longer on expensive bike than cheaper version. As on emtbs - the torque is high. The cassette on pro version is about £760. At moment I am riding mondtaker craft r Bosch motor- changing chain every 3 mths / casette every 6 mths. I have done 4800 miles in year and half. Worried expensive cassette and chain on amflow won’t last long.
Regarding the suspension, the Pro version's suspension system may offer better performance and adjustability. If you have high demands for suspension, you might notice a difference, but this also depends on personal preference and riding style. Our PL Carbon's suspension system is also excellent and designed to provide a smooth ride.

As for the cassette and chain longevity, the wear on these components largely depends on riding style, maintenance, and the environment. It is recommended to service them at an authorized store every six months to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

Have Bosch found a way to boost their motor from 600watts to a 1000watts with a a simple F/W update then?
And the NM, 85 - 120; a near 50% improvement all with ‘over the air’ software?

Colour me impressed.

Still, it makes that decision by SC of putting a 600w/h battery in the Vala even more strange. 🤷🏼‍♂️

The rumour is that because the gen5 runs much cooler than the gen4 at equivalent output, they could bump up the power ant torque. Think of it more at the system being locked to its current output, rather than them updating it later.

I don't think it will go up to DJI boost output, more like turbo: 100nm and 800w. Doesn't really need it though...

So a 20% improvement in NM. It's impressive if they manage it.

But why wouldn't they do it in the first place? I wonder what the thought process was v's now?

Maybe it was locked for reliability? if so, will it be unreliable once its had a power boost?

And still, it will rinse the smaller batteries, what were SC thinking?

And......what if DJI can send a S/W update and boost the Avinox system still further?

And rinse the DJI battery even faster? Oh, let's about that. 🤔
Exactly. It already depletes fast enough.........but DJI has all the POWER! and it's smaller/lighter.

If an update became available, would I install it?........Hell yes; I'd just have to run in ECO more often.

I was thinking ...All DJI has to do is bring it up to 48 V, and a few other things. That would mean a Higher torque constant and lower speed constant for the motor ...but they have overhead in speed, as I can tell from delimiting it.

Then there are a lot of other things, they could do, to improve this system, is my guess..... could be purposely limited as it is today, would also be my guess. There is no way anyone could use "boost" for 30 sec at a time, and then repeat, if that were not the case. The copper in the motor winding, would melt otherwise, if DJI were pushing the "limit." Its physics, and the law of conservation of energy... like someone said.

Turbo is Great don't get me wrong but a tweaked auto is amazing and still provides great battery life. I guess some people just get addicted to the balls to the walls power.
I am addicted, and I agree, "auto" at times, it really nice, for the battery life. I've only been using it once in a while, but it seems pretty efficient, when I do.
