That’s not true. Based on my research, DJI’s data storage is located in the U.S. Moreover, if you’re based in the U.S., your flight logs have not been synced to their server for several months now. It’s also common knowledge that you can fly their drones without an internet connection—how could they “capture” your data if your drone is offline?
Everything I have said is absolutely 100% correct.

First of all yes DJI state that us customers data is held on US AWS servers however that is still full flight logs containing very detailed geolocation and image data including randomised images taken by the drone and is still fully accessible by DJI HQ, also note DJI have intentionally encripted their data logs to prevent users knowing what is fully included in them when you do share them.

Secondly yes they technically only have the data you share however they have been found on a number occasions with backdoors in their software including forcing App updates on iOS and android outside the App stores, they were specificy caught doing this via node.js and others a few years ago however they seems to have now cleaned that up.

There is an incredibly long and merky history would DJI and data security that is relivent to the AMFLOW especially when you start to look at things such as sharing personal health data with them.

At the end of the day it's people's choice and may won't care. That's ok. however a 10 second search of DJI, ban, data security and if you really want to down the rabbit hole sentenal and department department 13.

DJI is still likely to be the second major Chinese based company to be banned in the USA over security risks. However it looks like tarrifs my be here first but it's not clear how that will affect the bike world. Crazy times.

The bike looks good and most won't care on any of this stuff but DJI is a politically complex company and their brand is tainted in many ways not before seen in this market.

Congrsts to those with the new bikes they look nice. I'm intrigued in the issue posted with what seems to be the motor binding up. That's a little concerning but likely teething issues. Early production run can be a bit sloppy at times.

This forum used to be about EMTBs. Bikes and the love of riding driving the conversation. And it's what I loved about it. You can get informed about the new EMTBs, without all the political crap that is now filling Social Media.

The Mods have asked that all the China stuff is left behind. I would love if we could talk about bikes without the political slant. I ride my bike and read this forum to get away from that crap.

Anyway. Just my opinion. I'm sure you feel you are making a positive contribution. And you are. But focusing on the bike and it's components performance, would make better reading for those wanting to learn about the Amflow EMTB.

That MTB Canada website seems very sketchy, but it looks like the rumor is true.

Forbidden's owner posted a picture of the future Dreadnought eMTB using the DJI Avinox system, clearly Forbidden will be surfing on the DJI hype and they know what they're doing by posting that picture.

In my opinion this is going to disrupt the eMTB market in a more serious manner than Amflow.

Received my PL Pro yesterday and managed to get out for a shakedown ride in good conditions. I'm coming off the back of six years on a Jam2 (which I bought because of weight) and a few rides on various friends other models, none of it very hardcore, but have done some time in alps/pyrenees. I'm also a keen motorbike rider / racer so whilst I was expecting an upgrade in power terms, I wasn't expecting it to be like a 500cc two-stroke.

Initial impressions are pretty much inline with what's been posted before. The Avinox system as a whole is a major improvement on anything I've come across. The motor is miles quieter than my old E8000, no rattle, quite a lot more power available when you want it. The screen and controls seem faultless, like they've made millions of something similar before. Firmware updates went fine and the whole box-to-ride process took <45 mins.

Agree with current comments that the gap between Eco > Trial is too big, and Trial > Turbo almost non-existent. I'm sure that will be tweakable via the app shortly, if not already. Boost is, as expected, suitably bananas for an eMTB. What impresses more is the way the motor delivers it's power. None of the grabbiness of the E8000, just super-smooth delivery in line with predal pressure. Makes for laughably easy wheelies without feeling like it's getting out of hand.

In terms of ride quality, much as expected given geometry and components. I prefer the slighty faster geometry of the Focus but I'm sure I'll get used to the lazier front-end of the Amflow, and I'm sure it'll save me a few times on faster sections. I'm new to the Magura MT7s but they felt great, especially modulation and feel. More than enough power for me, for now at least.

What I did notice is the Eagle X0 struggling a bit under pressure. I'm 100kg once kitted up, and I was abusing the boost a fair bit, but I'm used to backing off the pedals then shifting and it was still less accurate than the XTR on the Focus. I'm guessing a lot of that is just me learning to balance shift timing with pedal pressure.

As far as fit & finish, mine at least is immaculate. I'm sure there are other bikes in the same price range that are highly accomplished but this feels very special, and very well thought through.

Finally, big thanks to Ian @ Escape Bike Shop for being fantastic throughout the order / purchase process, and for setting the bike up so well before delivery.

That part does not make a lot of sense tbh as it's very unlikely them. They are big on you being tied into their systems like Bosch ect.

If that is the norm its going to make things interesting for sure.

It makes sense for them to be flexible, since battery size/shape is important for frame design.

Doesn't mean they are doing it, just that it makes sense why they would.

So much so when 3rd parties have made compatible packs they have updated firmware to block them.

They even block repair of older packs as their BMS even detects when cells have been changed by big changes in capacity on an older battery and bricks it. All for "safety" obviously (Don't ask how I know lol)

Allowing 3rd party battieries is intresing as it breaks the "system" approach and I wonder how they deal with the performance impacts that could come from that with lower quality C rated packs.

DJI might possibly have negotiated terms with the third party battery mfg that are beneficial to DJI. Perhaps this is a tip of the hand of how they intend to upset the market.

Probably just an area in which they need to be flexible, DJI design and make 100% of their drone products, e-bikes are not vertically integrated in that way.

I wouldn't manage to test run a 800 battery for milage on eco in this cold weather 😳 in UK i am meaning. Probably get 60 miles minimum and I'm no lightweight. That's the info I want to know about. It could open up fantastic hill rides for me .

Now I have the offer to buy a used one: There is the 38 with two different crowns, one "normal size" HT 58 and one for e-bikes (with thick head tube) HT 68. The standard Fox 36 is probably more of the normal size. ..?!? What do you think, does the thick crown (HT 68) fit?

That’s the ebike crown on the Amflow, I would get a std crown if I was you.

Yes, the standard crown probably fits a little better, but I don't think it looks that bad. Do you perhaps have a second picture with a little more distance so that you can see the entire front part of the bike?

Anyone else noticed how small the bikes actually come up when you sit on and ride them ? Had a quick sit and ride on Large and XL this week, I’m 186cm and on the cusp but always like a large in other brands typically SC but the Amflow large is absolutely tiny imo not just when your on it but I looks really small, i actually thought it was a medium when I turned up , certainly with considering if your planing on just ordering one
