Definitely should have had a safety net under it when it was built. I can't believe they can operate the run without one
Fellas, there is a reason they call it HARDLINE, and after the Tassie crew upping the anty with there creek gap I guess the Welsh boyz had to go BIGGER. Personally can't wait for the weekend and I suppose it'll be a few ciders to stay up and watch it live

It looks like all races will be on sundays now with semis etc on saturdays. This pretty much kills it for me because I can't stay up till 3-4am on a Monday morning to watch.

Bring back saturday races!
God dam it, another sunday race this weekend. Its monday morning 1am to 3:30am over here in New Zealand. Guess I'll be watching YT videos again

Early thoughts on the developing season, Bruni is still the danger man, Ronan Dunne is on fire & will be amongst it all season. Special big ups to Adam Brayton, mid pack fodder at best but put down a heater at Hardline & gapped the top section which NO ONE else managed, love me a secret line.

Camille is back, Nina looks damaged for now, so I'm backing CB for the overall if as seems possible, Vali is reverting to her earlier all or nothing form. I feel sorry for BK a little, Hardline is clearly his best chance of a win these days but the years are against him & he's been done twice now by kids. Could see him retiring this season & going over to full time team manager.

Going to stick my neck out & say Greg won't do it this year, too much upheaval. It'll be between the French guys & the Irish. Oisin & Ronan leading the Celtic charge.

Caveat: I could be wrong, I usually am 😂

Can't wait for this weekend. I've got a bit of a wish to see Ethan Craik do really well. He's a proper nice lad and always has time to chat to both me and the boy at races, we know his suspension/tech guy so if we're at a meeting where he's racing we'll always pop over for a quick chat. It also helps that he's absolutely on fire in terms of his riding.
I'm very curious to see how Ronan does and whether it's bit of a 'moment' or a full-time thing in terms of speed/results, but he's sure looking like it.
The rest, well that can be anyone between about 10 of them on a given day, with the odd 4-5 to add in there too like the Meier Smith boys etc, it's just amazing at the moment that the racing is so open, even though say a Loic is always going to do well, but there's just so so many.

Interesting thing about what you say on Ethan. We all have our favourites but I can't ever remember seeing a race & thinking I wish someone else had won. Love that about the racing, they're pretty much all deserving & I'm usually pleased for whoever wins when you take into account the risks, injuries, the sheer odds of making it onto the box at all.

Can't argue with that matey. It's even more so as not only do they all deserve it but they all massively give credit to the winners/others. Even if deep down inside of course they're gutted, they all do actually seem really pleased for eachother when results go well for them.

What I'm really missing from the world cup coverage this season is there is no Fox and Jordie vlogs, anyone know why that is, cutbacks? $$?
Loved watching them faffing with all the settings and how much all that stuff mess with their heads, real or not, and how much those Fox guys put in and the enjoyment when they win. Plus it was really well shot by those 2 young blokes who also had personalities which enhanced the footage.

I think there's a new project in the pipeline, Chris on the Downtime podcast alluded to it.

The option to mute Rick's beige, paint by numbers commentary is a blessing imo.

Something else I've just realised is Dialled has been dumped. One of the best elements of race weekend for me, I'll miss those two & their who would win out of a fight between & Marmotte & Jordi? line of enquiry.
I mentioned Dialled a while back. Pity it's gone, it was a very enjoyable strand of race weeks with a cast of likeable characters, not least Shaffer & Jake. At a guess, Fox decided they didn't need the cost of it nor the marketing benefit. shame though, I could do with more of Jordi's world weary, don't touch anything wisdom.

Only caught up with this late as we were out racing as well, but what a race, what a track... it's just epic.

I thought Josh Carlson was way better than Ric on the mic as well....

Rider of the day for me was Finn, bloody impressive to take 2nd from not having ridden at all on Sat... Awesome. Lachie for a massive 3rd place too... Kid is fasssssssst.

The woods are deadly. Hands up who remembers 2020 Leogang, that was hilarious.
Who could forget ! It was a gong show 🤣
At least this year it was extremely challenging but still rideable. Brunis run was stunning , great to see Finn back on form and Lachie put together a run to beat all but 2 of the worlds best , what a way to get his first podium!

What was Jordan Williams upset about I wonder ?

I've kept faith with Laurie in my Fantasy team for a few weeks now, he's getting binned for the next round !

They said on the post race Downtime podcast that Laurie is still battling health issues , having big crashes is only adding to the problems. He's still one of my favorite riders but he won't be making it back onto my fantasy team without a turnaround in results. 😋

He's not doing great is he? I held out high hopes for him over the past couple of seasons but he caught Covid last year i think & hasn't really got back to his best since. IIRC he also looped out off camera at Leogang last year trying to manual on the motorway.
