Wouldn't be Redbull if it wasn't glitching. I ended up on Youtube where it was glitching.

Good race though, plenty of thrills & spills, my only disappointment was the lack of dogs on track.

OK, I take that back, it was mean. Pretty clear BK was unfortunate to blow a foot off at the worst moment, leaving him with no chance of making the drop out of el casa.

The women's talent pool in NZ is looking very strong now. Erice Van Leuven (dead for now), Sacha Earnest, JH, Jess Blewitt (also dead for now), I like to think the future's bright. Jenna might be unlucky to be around at the same time as Vali Holl but she also went 3.5 seconds behind Nina Hoffman at the nationals last week. She needs a clear win or two at the top level to silence the doubters.

I did post this in the gen4 rumours thread (mainly because nothing else in there is about the gen4 and it's sooo boring).

This thread's been quiet for too many days .. so ......

The Women's talent pool in Brazil is also looking very strong now .. (or was in 2017)

Well I just received a new email from Staylive announcing some changes and their new website for streaming the 2025 World Cup DH.

Pretty much the same as last year for New Zealand. $5.99 USD per month or $56 USD for the year. The 10 race season fits into 4 months if you purchase correctly so thats $24 USD for the season of DH races.

Bargain !

We have the same again in Australia from Stan , $32aud per month for HD , $37 per month for 4K.
I'm not even sure WB stream in 4K but that won't stop Stan offering it. 😅

Urban DH is not my thing , but I just watched the winning run. The coverage looked great. Plenty of great camera angles , it's certainly a photogenic race!
Me neither and it is easier to get camera's set up than on the side of some mtn for sure. Guess it is a chance to hear Rob call a race but he could use some new material? Not a fan of his side kick but whatever, like that matters......

You don't get pretty mountains or the thril of being in the woods but the attraction is that the course is unvarying, so the racing boils down to the rider's skill. If you can see it that way, without the uncontrollable variables of good fortune, then it's as exciting as any race. This one was over a 1km course, so really in the hundredths of a second.
