Just went to pick mine up. Looks like it's got the 85nm update. However, the brakes have no tension at all. So they're gonna hold on to it and give me a shout when fixed.

If they don't manage a fix, do the Avid recomendation and advance the pads. This basically makes them amazing and not the sponges they are when you get it. I posted on this earlier in this thread and it seems to be the way to go as bleeding only solves part of it and at least advancing does not require any tools.

Right. I missed this advice earlier in the thread & subsequently posted on bleeding the brakes, finding that the only way to end up with decent lever feel was to...advance the pads. (y)

Sloblocks, got home to find the bosch software doesn't have emtb mode. It has sport mode instead. First World problem I suppose.

It sounds like the American software update? I’m not sure what was realeased in Europe. Personally I really like the EMTB update, smooth and powerful. If anything going from EMTB to Turbo doesn’t do it for me, must be my style of riding. EMTB really is the joker in the pack and gets you out of jail every time, so far anyway. Your LBS might be able to sort you out. Seems the going rate is £20ish.

If it’s the American software update will it be 20mph not 15.5. ?????

Since i had my motor updated to 85 NM tour mode bangs out same torque as turbo mode, it is just a bit softer from the start. Seems a bit too strong IMO for tour mode. Just saying..

I also think that Tour is too strong, mines not as strong as Turbo though. I’d like to be able to adjust the modes like some other models. I really am getting very picky though, I chuffing love this bike!

Went out earlier for the first actual ride since breaking my arm. Paying the price with a bunch of aches & pains now & also managed to swipe a bramble on a descent, leaving a thorn wedged under my finger nail, so I'm nothing if not consistent.

Lovely to be out on a bike again albeit I did go out with three bars & had to to a climb known locally as heart attack & then three miles home on one bar. Squeaky bum + eco for a while.

Gutted for you guys that haven’t got yours yet. Mine arrived at 4pm, minus a bit of paint on the NS shoulder where the handlebar had rubbed on it in transit. I’m not going to let a little thing like that spoil my day but they could do better with the packing. Went together smoothly with ergon grips, fabric saddle and V12s. Just been out for a blast at sunset, wow. Thanks for the heads up on the bike and especially availability. It’s a beast.

11th Sept 2020: Subsequent edit to say that Decathlon Customer Service have been very good to me about this, have sorted it out properly and to my satisfaction. Well done to them and I'm glad to report that back to you. Hopefully they'll also take steps to prevent it happening to anyone else.

Just had my order cancelled :-(

“We’re sorry, order DCUK7511647 has been cancelled as your item is now out of stock.”

You’ll receive a refund within the next 7 working days, depending on your bank or credit card provider. If you paid for all or part of your order with a gift card, you’ll receive a new one for that amount by email.

Sometimes, orders are cancelled in the payment authorisation stage and therefore the money won’t have reached us.

The Decathlon team are always in your corner, so don’t hesitate to give us a shout if we can help with anything else.

Mine was exactly the same problem. Emailed Decathlon and sent photos-received 200 quid back as a goodwill gesture. Gotta be worth a punt. That meant £2499 for the bike after this-a beast and a bargain!

Hi guys, to the people who’s orders were cancelled, I posted at start of this thread this is what happened to me, refund never came, I was quite relaxed it would in time and didn’t check.

Then one day the bike came within about 10 days of the cancellation IIRC.

Don’t know if that is better or worse for you....! Piss poor customer service and communication either way. Hope it works out for you.

Off topic: has anyone here used the stilus to ferry kids (5 year old in my case) to school?

The bike (medium) doesn’t have much room to attach a seat. My son is tall and heavy for his age. So I’m thinking towing him will probably be more likely.

Those drag trailers are likely all sold out still as they were early lockdown, and I’m not sure he will be happy in one when he’s capable of long rides (4-6 miles on a weekend the odd time).

I’m just thinking that riding up hill with him will keep him fresh for school but not using car is win win for everyone.

That kind of leaves those tow bike/ pull alongs.

Has anyone else tackled this already ?

Well theyve took the money and then it came back now theyve took it again but theyve confirmed my orders cancelled. There is no trace at all online of my order, like its been deleted. They said to me in mails do i want a refund and i said well if theres no bike then yes of course. Their last mail offered me a refund or similar bike as an alternative. Agreed, piss poor systems, processes and customer service

All my EMTB activity have led me to learning to ride a motorbike in recent months. I bought a 125 yesterday and have done about 100 miles on it. Love it by the way, but It’s a stepping stone to bigger things ASAP.

Took the stilus out tonight as I was so happy riding it to school earlier in the day, to collect my son.

Other dads in playground ask what it is. Older kids often comment or ask what they are, I don’t like to draw too much attention to it generally. But Ebikes really do brighten the day.

After a blast through woodlands and country park tonight I’ve gotta say I think the ebike brings more fun than the 125 so far. riding off road is just too much fun...

That said the CB125R was only 700 quid more than a stilus, will be nice when prices get a bit more real across the whole market.

Enjoy all!!!

My battery fell out the frame today as I was riding. Just after I did a couple of small drops ??

Anyone else had any issues with the battery self ejecting when riding?!

Maybe I didn’t fully secure it back in after I removed it.

I'm struggling to get to the bottom of the drive unit firmware/software. Mine came on Tues 8th Sept and DU software reports as 1.1.0.0

I believe from a search that is the latest 85nm version but could someone confirm please? Also I have eco, tour, sport and turbo. While I'm entirely happy, is this correct? I was expecting eco, tour, EMTB and turbo??

This what MPJ posted a short while back and mine was the same.
Interestingly, my Lbs mechanic asked me where I wanted the upgrade-which mode? He said most go for emtb. Strange, I know.
It deffo made a difference to how mine felt and rode.

eMTB matches your torque up to a max of Turbo. Good for trail riding.

Sport is just a set output.

If you have eMTB that's pretty much all you need to leave it in all day...Highly recommend eMTB.
