Okey dokey, it's in & working but has taken a bit more effort than I anticipated. The lower battery bracket is itself mounted to the frame on a metal bracket & I've had to reverse that metal bracket to allow me to move the bracket backwards sufficiently to accomodate the battery. In turn, that meant removing the bashguard so I could move the wiring about & to do that, I had to depressure the shock in order to move the rear triangle so I could get to the bashguard allen bolts. Phew!

Good work. Thanks for sharing. Slightly puts me off doing it though. Haha.

Anyone storing their Stilus in shed or garage where it needs some sort of heat to keep the battery healthy ? I’ve got a new shed and am getting sick of taking the battery in and out, just wondering about heating it

Seriously just relax and use the thing. my batteries never come out the bike for charging, they have sat in the garage through winter and summer. They just work, life's to short to worry about that shit.

It’s a 2700 bike , the batteries are expensive, i want the battery to last as long as possible. I am relaxed ! Thanks :)

Depends on frequency of rides for it to become a pain for me. I do 2 a week and just take it in while temps are 8 deg and below in the nights.
Tbh, I have always stored a motorbike in my concrete block shed/garage and used to use anything from a paraffin heater to a electric one-both always ended with a flat batt and made a lot of condensation which affected electrical components and that was not worth the hassle. At least the motorbike allows a truckle charger to be left on.
Just maybe do the insulation bit and double skin the roof/walls and put a dehumidifier in for good measure. Block draughts but let air in.
I have a dedicated rucksack that I put the batt in after every ride and chuck under the stairs until charge time. It's no hassle and batt seems to give me good milage even when I have ridden every week since I got the bike last year (snow, rain - 7 to
+25 deg).
Like I said, frequency of ride is the main thing as it would really be a pain then.

I take the battery out of the bike and bring it inside to charge. Problem solved.

Defnintely found condensation in the downtube regularly. It taught me to take the battery out after every ride & leave the cover off when the thing is parked up.
Yep I’ve noticed this. I made the very stupid mistake of forgetting my battery cover the other day ! Luckily was just nipping to the shops , but did get a bit muddy :/
