Thanks for pointing that out...

I read that notice as voiding the Cane Creek shock manufacturer warranty and it doesn’t mention shock size.

I want to make sure mine is not one of the hollow shaft versions (if that is the difference), since I’m a heavier rider.

It does feel really light without a spring.

Ordered mine last sunday at tf tuned.
got this reply today from them:

”All new coil ILs come with the new upgraded damper shafts.”

Ordered mine last sunday at tf tuned.
got this reply today from them:

”All new coil ILs come with the new upgraded damper shafts.”

Bought mine off eBay (I’m in the US).

My non-Levo version had to be mounted upside down in my 2020 Comp (as the Cane Creek person on the phone mentioned).

I finally got an email reply from Cane Creek service verifying the correct part numbers for the Specialized version (which is the 210 mm x 52.5 mm version):

Jeff,

That shock does have a solid shaft so that part of it is good to go. However, that Turbo Levo uses a 210 x 52.5mm shock and we have a Specialized specific part number for a shock that has the cylinder head clocked in order to clear the frame. So really, for that bike you need either BAD2411 for the standard gold damper or BAD2447K for the new all-black variant.

I've got a message from service now - the shock is fine, no failures.
But I still struggle to set RB.

pls check the videolinks:

1st video was made with the settings suggested from tftuned:
HSR 3 turn out from max
LSR 7 turn out from max
HSC 1,5 turn in from min
LSC 9 turn in from min
Dropbox - 20200109_211831.mp4 - Simplify your life

2nd video was made with differnt settings
HSR 0 turn out from max, fully closed
LSR 0 turn out from max, fully closed
HSC 1,5 turn in from min
LSC 9 turn in from min
Dropbox - 20200109_211933.mp4 - Simplify your life

Is this normal? There is no difference between the settings?!? Even when HSR and LSR 0 turn out from max, fully closed, RB seems to be to fast. I ride Levo 2019, 85 kg rideready, 600lbs spring.

Any suggestions?

tf tuned took the shock back - money back.
Really very nice from tf tuned!

Now I'm searching for a new shock.

In the Kenevo owner thread there are some posts about exploding marzocchis.
Did any levo-marzocchi user have had same or some problems with bomber cr?

ALL, Getting a FOX DHX2 210x55 for LEVO. What hardware do I need PLEASE

Earlier in this thread JonnyNoKnees posted 6 mm x 20 mm with the Fox part number:

Fox 5-Piece Aluminum Mounting Hardware Kit IGUS Bushing Shocks 6mm x 0.787" 20mm
MPN: 803-03-237

I ended up measuring the hardware mounted in my stock shock.

I only found the Fox 6 mm x 20.83 mm version locally...it was too tight for me to easily install the new shock.

I didn’t think the extra .83 mm would make a difference...but it did.

I ended up using the 6 mm x 20 mm hardware from my stock RockShox Deluxe select + shock in the new Cane Creek (I couldn’t find any Cane Creek hardware in that size to buy online/locally).

I also had to get a local shop to push out the bushing in the eye that the flip chip goes in (otherwise the flip chip wouldn’t fit)...I think I had this done on both a Manitou McLeod and the CC Coil IL.

I used 6 x 20 mm RockShox hardware in both.

I hope this helps someone else.

note: this was on my 2020 Levo Comp...I usually have a LBS do most of the work on my bikes, so I’m not a competent wrench.

Marzocchi Bomber CR 210x55 with 550lb spring. Only needed a basic mount kit to replace bushings. Took about 30 minutes.
Makes it roughly a 156mm rear travel bike. Have a 160mm Yari on the front.
Just fitted the rear shock - riding tomorrow. View attachment 11622 View attachment 11623 View attachment 11624 View attachment 11625

I was wondering what spring length that is? Also what do you weigh? I'm 185 lbs so maybe need 550 lb spring. Fox shows the following steel options for this shock size:

039-03-015Spring: [4.723 TLG X 1.385 ID X 450 lbs/in, 2.370 Travel] Black
039-03-016Spring: [4.733 TLG X 1.385 ID X 500 lbs/in, 2.350 Travel] Black
039-03-017Spring: [4.776 TLG X 1.385 ID X 550 lbs/in, 2.350 Travel] Black
039-03-018Spring: [4.830 TLG X 1.385 ID X 600 lbs/in, 2.350 Travel] Black
039-03-006Spring: [6.126 TLG X 1.385 ID X 600 lbs/in, 2.550 Travel] Black
039-03-019Spring: [4.954 TLG X 1.385 ID X 650 lbs/in, 2.300 Travel] Black

Got this from fox Factory support for the Marzocchi:

FOX-Stahlfeder 122mm TLG 35mm ID: 600 x 2.350"

tried three others before to find the right one.
Got 180lbs trail ready and with the 600 it works superb...

I did the same to my aluminum Levo, the only extra tools was this one 1/2" x 1/2" Rear Shock Bushing Tool to take out the factory bushings from the coil shock, that and Allen keys will do the work... I put Loctite threadlocker just to be sure ...

I went with the EXT Storia Lok 3 and have no regrets. Have the new fox 38 up front in 160mm. Luckily I got the 19' S-Works for close to half off in late February 20 just before Covid-19 hit the US and before all the bike shops sold out of E bikes so I could splurge on some components.

Hi, how are you liking that Storia? I have brand new 2021 Levo comp and thinking some upgrades due to next summer enduro racing. Did you use 6x20mm hardware? Did you need to take away bushings from Storia? My dealer suggested Arma as option too. I also find 36 fox is little bit flexy, so any comments about 38 sturdiness and behaviour is wellcome. :) First post here and hello everyone :)

just read this whole thread, great info. I'm 185 lbs/84 kgs...I want to order the Fox coil but guys here seem to be riding a wide range of springs, from 500 lbs to 650 lbs. On a Levo, at my weight does anyone have any wisdom? The "recommended" spring for 84 kgs/185 lbs is 650 lbs...but most seem to be riding a lower spring number.

I’m 92kg and using a 600lb spring at the moment. I get 30% sag with two turns of preload on a DHX2. I’m going to get a 650lb spring to give myself a bit more leeway and allow for Christmas “fattening up” :).

Yes I love the Storia it's pretty progressive and paired with the cascade link and the correct spring it works really well. The 38 is so much better than the 36.

I have been impressed with this setup. Coil front and rear. MRP was awesome at getting me set up with the right spring and the increased diameter shaft "Levo" rear shock. I have one ride so far and MRP was spot on on the spring suggestion. It was shipped with the 52.5 spacer and I was easily able to pop it off for 55mm stroke. Currently running 27.5's with 170mm front and 165mm (est) rear travel. Also running the Cascade link. I had a Fox DHX2 on it previously that I sent in for repairs and was told that it was not recommended for the Levo.
Fox was awesome with their customer service and took care of me graciously. So far its very comparable.
