I don’t have any M3 bolts so will have to order some. I’ll get a wrists of thread pitch’s. It looks very fine on the OEM bolts.

Will hopefully get this working with the 750wh battery.

I fitted the bracket today to my 750wh Rail.

Took a while to get it lined up, had to drill one more hole into the bracket to align it to the 750 mounting holes.

There is a lot of stuff to remove. A bit of a faff getting the rail plate off, but not too difficult.

Weights and measures below.

I also used some P rubber to fill the top and bottom gap.

The bad news…. My intermittent electrical issue has returned but I’ll post separately about that.

any ride reports yet chaps?
I have had a few electrical problems with my bike so been unable to ride it with the new battery bracket.

I saw this guy had removed the entire battery lock and saved 360g weight from the rail by removing the mechanism.

Anyone here done it? I don’t like this key mechanism, seems a bit flaky and although the RIB removal is good if you need to remove the battery, I’m interested in removing it completely.

Another option instead of angle Aluminium is Carbon. You can buy the carbon angle off the shelf (easy to cut than Ali and easy enough to trim with dremmel or similar)at reasonable price, use floating anchor nuts (can be glued or drilled to fix) instead of tapping and even lighter weight. Just a thought
