I will message all UK members with my paypal address, when you send the money, please use friends and family and include your postal address and forum name.

I'm in if I can get one shipped to the US?

Yep, I’m making enough for everyone that put their hand up plus a couple of extras, we can organise a North America shipment or I can send them individually but shipping will be about $20-25USD so I makes sense to do the same as what we’re doing for the UK.

I have been looking at this plate and knocked myself one up pretty much the same design except i have incorporated the two smaller screws into my design, these two screws hold the front cover to the battery and without them the top half of the battery will just rattle and eventually break.

@Arron M can you also do this in your design?

Not without a great deal of extra work, let’s be clear though, there is no chance the battery will break as stated above, I’m sure Turricann meant to say battery cover though.

Even still if you look at the way the battery cover is mounted I would completely disagree that it would break.

If you wanted to incorporate those screws then you should also add material down to level of the channel where the screw holes are, if you don’t then any movement between the parts will like cause thread damage.

It’s possible, I’ll have a think about how to make it work.

is the battery cover not held securely by this clip? (on both sides)

This channel does all of the heavy lifting as far as mounting the cover goes, the top and bottom battery mounts prevent it from sliding in its channel. It’s not a perfect fit so if left open there is a chance of a rattle, but I’m not convinced it would rattle given the direction of the travel cause by its non perfect fit - side to side.

a small amount of rubber p seal on the battery hole cutout on the frame would stop any potential plate rattle.

@Arron M I’ve upped my quantity to 6 (have mates who also want one who are not on this forum). So that 14 for the UK batch.

Slightly off topic - but I thought might quickly pose a question to this knowledgeable audience before starting a new thread; my eBike Connect app has notified me of a Kiox software update, which can be applied from my phone via Bluetooth. Is this for the Kiox module only? I'm not sure if any new motor modes will be implemented, i.e. losing the custom Trek EMTB Lite mode in favour of Tour+ if I install the upgrade.

Yes, it will only update the Kiox software, the bikes firmware can only be updated by a dealer
