Hi jbrown

hi
So am I right that in the end you prefer the XTR 4 pot with galfer (green?) pads and their 223 rotors?

Or are you using those Galfer pads/rotors with the code r?

thx

Yes that was my setup, and really liked it. But I would still get a little brake fade at the very end of a long intense downhill run. So I ended up swapping out my XTR calipers for some Magura MT5 calipers. So now I’m running a Shigura setup, which are the best brakes I’ve ever ridden.

But with that said my Trickstuff Maxima brakes finally just shipped.

Yeah. Youll be a trickstuff junkie. I put the piccola HD on my DH bike and damn they’re good. My Maxima are on my other DH bike and they’re both amazing.

now bleeding, get a trickstuff only kit. The nipples you’ll need comes in the box so you just need good syringes and the oil.

I added one of their bleed kits to my order, spare pads and some brake fluid.

Who makes those levers? They look like Trickstuff knockoffs.

I haven’t tried a Shigura setup with Saint levers but I suspect the XTR levers have better feel, I know another popular setup for Worldcup DH racers are to run Saint calipers with XTR levers.
