Meh....thought it was too quiet lately. Here's another. This was the poor guys second allmtn7 due to a ceack elsewhere on the 1st

I had a nice positive call with a member of staff from the Haibike/Raleigh team this morning. They confirmed the rear frame linkage is covered under the 5 year warranty (There has been some confusion over that).

As I mentioned at the start of this thread I've not experienced the issue but wanted to create a thread for it so didn't push on that topic as they have already communicated guidance on what owners should be doing.

My current bearing warranty issues will now be dealt with by an alternative Haibike bike shop, which is a huge relief. If I'm honest, they are the main cause of my stress since owning the bike as they have provided an awful support experience from the start. My previous chainsuck issue was resolved by Raleigh, I was refunded for the parts and tools and I was also given compensation - I couldn't ask for more tbh.
Got my bike back today. My new lbs confirmed my thoughts on the lower headset and rear hub bearings. Now just waiting on Raleigh to confirm whether they send parts out or the shop can source themselves. Great to ride the bike again :) However these frame issues are a constant concern now

Mine has gone in again, done 188 miles on the second motor and the bike is making a noise like a washing machine and a plastic clicking noise on ever down stroke. Plus the chain ring is cutting into the chain stay.

The LBS are now sending it back to Raleigh for their inspection. Possible play in the BB, motor, or frame from what I have been told so far.

The bike has done no more than 450 miles total.

I shared the response a number of owners have received earlier in the chain. No update since then that I'm aware of. However a few of the owners have received full refunds in the last few days as no replacements available

If I am honest at the moment I don't know what has happened, been checked or not. Tredz have had my bike 12 days today. I was told the bike was being collected by Raleigh yesterday. I have had no notification of it being collected.

Every person I have spoken to can't give me anymore information. I don't understand how their mechanical team can't diagnose it. I am not being provided with any options. However, one of the team told me they will be seeking a fully refund for the bike themselves. I have requested to speak with a manager 12days ago when putting in a complaint and I am still waiting. I don't understand how they can not diagnose what's wrong, give me any options but be doing this themselves.

So I am still stuck waiting for anymore information.

Well you wouldn’t feel any play but they will creak if not torqued correctly (approx 45Nm).
I wouldn’t hold your breath waiting for a big store like Tredz to come back with any technical findings. They’re just a money making operation and couldn’t care less about your bike.

Yeah, tell me about it.

That's why I am waiting to speak with a manager as I have already put the question to them in am email. How can they make such a decision, without providing me options or information regarding my property? I believe they are trying to negate their responsibility to me as a customer.

We will see what they come back with today as I will be ringing up today for information on my bike being returned to Raleigh.

Thanks for your help appreciate it.

It seems that quite a common issue is that the rear cassette gets loose. That is often behind the noise as you cycle. Just see if there is any movement in it, if there is it needs tightening. It needs a special tool, but if you take your wheel off and take it to a bike repair shop they will probably do it as a goodwill gesture (takes 1 min).

Can anyone advise how long it is taking to get stuff fixed? I am conscious that there is a shortage of bikes, and therefore am concerned that this shortage might extend to parts. I sent photos to my dealer who promptly forwarded them to Haibike on Monday (10/05). We are now waiting to hear what they think apparently. This seems a little absurd if there is a known issue - they should immediately be saying they will fix the bike, and that parts (already stored in the UK) are being shipped to my dealer etc.

Prospective customers will be put off if they see these kinds of posts. I know that I am now very worried that this is going to happen again and again. I love the bike, and hope that the replacement parts will arrive soon and be much stronger!

Ugh! Just at the start of the Summer, and I have just formed an eBike cycling club!

Lol well, The bike finally went in just under 2 weeks ago, said they did the work. Headset was nice and smooth but turns out they "forgot" to do the rear wheel :ROFLMAO: , I returned the rear wheel and the lbs replaced the bearings but said the crunchy feeling is still there, and that's just how it is lol. So I ordered a new freehub, fitted a few days back and it's smooth and how it should be :) . The only thing I can see might be the issue with the old freehub is the metal shim/spacer that sits between the hub bearings, baffled why the shop wouldn't check that.

Sorry for the delay fella. This is the first I've heard of them saying take it to a carbon specialist. It's been complete refunds for everyone I've seen it happen to, due to no replacements. I had to take my previous bike the cube hybrid slt to Carbon bike repairs in leatherhead and they seemed the real deal - however if it was me I would not be wanting a repair done and would push back on that, wouldn't be having that on an 8 month old bike that Haibike are well aware of these issues

It would be interesting to perform a running total of FB & this forum contributors as to how many frames have been affected which would indicate a possible 'bad batch'; like me, I'm sure other owners are now diligently checking for cracks, my bike has now done 600 miles (all off road/trail) & is still in-tact, but its the waiting that's painful!

I regularly torque up the engine bolts & have also noticed the bottom battery mount has four Allen bolts which seem to regularly work loose, also the plastic engine cover has a small Allen bolt to one side which again works loose...keep an eye on them folks.

One last thing, I've noticed a great deal of bottom end frame flex which I am assuming is due to the nature of the carbon frame, its best seen with the brakes on & pressure put on the pedal/crank...just watch the engine move laterally, perhaps this is part of the overall frame issue & failures?

(Still, this bike has out performed my previous Focus Jam2 9.7 plus carbon which was so faulty it was replaced (by the ALLMTN7) by Rutland)

Yeah I do still love the bike dispite the constant issues, if I knew id have all these build quality/assembly/ lbs issues i wouldn't have gone near it though. My count is just over 25 now, on here, facebook and 2 owners i bumped into on the trails recently. A high percentage of owners wont be on these sites so my guess is its 7-10 percent of uk sales (600 at time of posting thread). I was hopeful of a bad batch but lots of difference dates of purchase /frame size etc. Imo and from what others have said the issue is the bonding agent used to glue to shim to the frame is failing, causing flex / paint cracking then full failure. Haibike have known about this issue since at least October, so its pretty shite that they still have no replacement rear triangles or a recall in place.

Due to the constant issues since day 1, I check everything all the time, even 2 of the bloody bearings are rough on the rear linkage, its just not good enough under 6 months old and just over 350 xc miles, never again with this brand. Frame aint cracked yet though?, kinda wish it was as I feel its just a matter of time.

Mines been returned today for a full refund as both upper bearing surrounds had cracked and one of the lower ones in the blue paint was just showing slight signs. A shame as I really liked the bike but no spares to repair or stock to replace the bike. Do I wait and hope that the newer Haibikes coming though are fault free or go for a different manufacturer completely? Mine was quite an early bike, has anyone bought one recently and had problems (or know of one)?

I hope so but doubt it. I've seen 3 allmtn6/7's bikes whilst out riding in the last few months that have the issue and the owners had no idea of the issues others have had. Those riders weren't joined to the forum. 2 of them were told by the lbs it was nothing to worry about. Heard a rumour they won't be making those carbon triangles anymore - so f'knows what will happen in regards to the 5 year frame warranty.

I'm up to 750 miles on mine now, so hoping I'm in the clear on that front. Headset and rear wheel bearings have failed again after having them replaced under warranty 6 weeks ago - Have a hope wheelset on order now and will sort the headset myself as I can't be doing with contacting Haibike anymore, or having more budget bearings put on the bike.

Hard to know on alternative ebikes as they all have issues and parts are a nightmare to source for everyone. If it was me I'd100% go specialized next, not a fan usually as the pricing sucks, purely as I'm within reach of Berkshire cycles and they don't leave riders without a working bike.

Why would you go specialised mate? I’m looking at getting a Kenevo but the issues with motors put me off. The one thing i do like is that im close to a specialised store so if any problems I can take it back directly to them.

Purely to get the support from Berkshire cycles buddy - They lead the way with Specialised customer service. That's the only reason fella, Neither the Levo or Kenevo do it for me tbh. The allmtn7 is such a good bike, I've ridden loads of bikes and this thing takes top place, honestly. It's just soo much fun to ride. My local bike shop is a Haibike dealer (BUt doesn't seem to ever get any stock of them these days) and they've been sorting any warranty issues which is great, but I have to pay for the labour. I'd far prefer to take a hit on that and deal with a decent lbs than the utter shitshow of a shop I purchased it from (They really need to be dropped from Haibike).

Now I'm up to 1000 miles on the bike, I'd have to say all the issues I've had can be solved easily, now that info. is readily available, it's just the frame that worries me, but it has gone quiet on the numbers of refunds / issues so hopefully it was just a dodgy batch! I'd like to think that if the frame would have started to show signs of the problem after 1k miles, so maybe don;t let this thread put you off on buying one :). Ive spent about £500 on upgrades, carbon bars, stem, Hope Fortus wheels coming next week. You'd be looking at nearly £10k on a specialised to match the spec of this bike now. The yammy PwX2 is also my favourite (And most reliable!) - I quite often smash 100k on the north downs on it - great battery range!
