Whilst I actually agree with you on the pricing point, the halo stuff is always going to be eye wateringly expensive, lets see what happens with the rest of the range.
Regarding the whole thing with R&D - perhaps they should have spent a bit more, given the extraordinary levels of motor failures they have been through. It's unheard of for a manufacturer to retrospectively double a warranty period due to the number of failures they have had.
I'll be patiently waiting for the Expert or metal models to come out, as I quite like the idea of a motorized version of my '21 Stumpy Evo. But not for £10+k.
You mean like Porsche having to replace every $50K motor in the 2014-15 GT3's and then extend the warranties to 10 year 120K mile? It is not unheard of at all.
