I just don't get putting the top spec in that colour, does anyone do market research at Giant? Maybe the don't really want to sell them. And dropping Kashima is also a deal breaker for some.

The E+1 colour is a little polarizing. It appears to be iridescent so it will probably look pretty cool in person. I personally like it, and it's the model I have on order (not that I picked it based on the colour).

I don't care about Kashima coating. I don't think it's worth the extra expense. I do think that specking Code R brakes and not the RSC is a bad decision.

So the E+2 only jumps $300 but the E+1 jumps $1200?
After thinking about it, I may have the numbers wrong on the 2023 e+2 price. That might have been for the 2023 e+3, which would make it $300 more than the 2022 e+2. I saw the prices 6 weeks ago and was mostly focused on the upper model.

Is it just me, or does the E+1 look kinda girlish 🤔?

...not fan of the E+2 either, the 3 is the only acceptable would say...

I walked into my local Giant store in Western Australia this morning and asked about 2023 Reign E+ models. They could only see the E+2/3 on their computer. I showed them the page screen shot in this thread and it was the first they had seen/heard of the E+1. This is the one I have my eye on. I hope this isn’t a sign we are loosing the 0 and 1 versions here for 23! Any other Aussies or well informed people from elsewhere able to ease my mind on this?! Wanting to order but nothing to order yet..

THE PRICE IS ALREADY POSTED ON THE SPANISH WEBSITE, 7999 EUROS.
WHEN THE E+0 COMES OUT IT WILL BE AT 9500 AND WITH A 925W BATTERY, WAIT A FEW MONTHS AND YOU WILL SEE HOW I AM NOT WRONG.
I HAVE THE E+0 WITH A 750 BATTERY WHICH IS BIGGER THAN THE CURRENT 800W WHICH HAS THE SIZE OF AN OLD 625, MAKING CALCULATIONS WITH THE NEW 22700 CELLS IN THE SIZE OF MY 750, IT TAKES PERFECTLY 925W, ARE MATHEMATICS. Let's wait a few months and see.

Those were my thoughts also when I saw all three batteries side by side

In my opinion, if the Reign E+0 2023 doesn't come with a significantly lighter(carbon) frame I wouldn't buy it, as that bike in an L size would probably scratch the 27kg/60lb mark.

Appreciate the update. I just hope you are right about the E+1 spec coming to Oz. I priced up an E+2 with all the upgrades I would want to do over the weekend (fork, shock, brakes etc etc). Now having 2nd thoughts that it’s a good idea cost wise. E+1 would provide a better base component spec and would only require a few tweaks for me personally. Not looking to buy for a few months so I have time. Will sit back and wait a bit 👍🏻

Curious question for Aussie members. Has anyone else asked their Giant dealer about the 2023 E+1 coming to Australia?
I had a follow up conversation the other day with mine and they have no knowledge of any models other than the +2 and +3 for 23. Although their point of reference was only what they could currently see on their dealer screen as the 2023 model line up. I understand they are not being told much so am not blaming them or think they are disinterested, they are very helpful. I am just wondering if anyone else may have a more well informed dealer here in Oz who has confirmed or denied if we are to get the E+1 in 23 as suggested above by DrEbike? I want to believe this but it’s killing me not knowing ha ha!

Giant still secretely rolling out some 2023 models, it's pretty strange this year.

All 2023 Reign E+ with specs and prices and available on some Giant Euro websites like Spain.

US site is showing Reign E+2 in stock for M/L/XL. None in stock for E+3.

However, adding a Medium to cart says "For Reign E+ 2 Medium Cordovan / Black the desired quantity is not available", and price is set at $13k. I guess they're testing.

Adding XL says it's out of stock when you get to the cart.

Adding L didn't show any error messages in the cart. I wouldn't try it though.

Went to my local bike shop today (in France): there were 3 2022 Giant Reign Es ready to be bought, but the owner claims he hasn't even been shown the 2023 models and that he didn't know all the models would have the 800Wh battery. So some markets are way behind, possibly because of built up stock.

That said, he was offering me 10% off any of the 2022 Reigns, and a good deal on the 800Wh Battery that he has in store, so could basically have walked out with a 2022 Reign with both the 625+800Wh batteries for less than the 2023 prices... If I can sell my current bike quick, I'll probably just go with the 2022 e+2 (way prefer the spec on the 23, but love the colour on the 22 and the spec is fine).

Accordint the 2023 prices this is probably the best solution. The frame and the motor are exactly the same....

Which 2022 are you looking at and how is the '23 spec better? All I'm seeing for 2023 are increased prices and ugly paint jobs!

Look at the 2023 bikes on the spanish version of the giant website to see details.

The E+2 which is basically midrange but good enough components in 2022 is kitted with SRAM transmission and brakes (some GX which I use now and some NX which is pretty dissapointing and will be swapped out). The 2023 is very similar but comes in Shimano SLX/deore (way better than NX) and most importantly shimano brakes (personal preference). If you ask me the ~€400 increase from year to year is justified by the larger battery, but I doubt we can negotiate much on the 2023 bikes. A 10% discount brings the 2022 e+2 down to €5200 vs €6200 for the 2023 (this is an educated guess, no official price for France so far), which then makes the 22 a much better deal.

I am planning on putting an x01 cassette and midrange DT swiss wheels on the e+2 which I already have at home. So add a few extra quid to get the suspension prepared and the bike should be banger.

For anyone interested in NZ, they are up on the Giant website E+2 and 3 only with NZ RRP.

Delivery dates end of February
Thanks for the up date,
I just started a new post 10min ago asking the same thing. 3x E+2' thats a little embarrassing and almost the same price as the E+1 last year, though it does have a big battery.

Most likely they are already sold.

I would like the e+1 in XL , how long do you wait!!

Thanks Shane

I have received my tracking number from Giant Bicycles US. It is with the shipping company in Cali. Should be at my LBS within a week. I will post pictures as soon as I have them.

Obviously there are limited quantities as they are no longer available for order on the website. My guess is that US LBS's will be getting limited shipments starting soon.

First ride on the E+2.
Distance 12 miles (19km) of up and down with almost no flat stretches
2540ft (774m) of climb
Tightly packed dirt and some loose rocks on climbs
I weigh 200lb.
Moving time 1hr 40min
Highly scientific finger pressure gauge says tires were in low 20s PSI.

Almost all of the ride was on 'give me all the juice' mode.

Ended with 54% battery remaining.

Took 60min to charge it back up to 88%.
