Levo Gen 2 80% battery limit-toggle missing in app

Why do people assume it being greyed out means the bike battery will only ever charge to 80%? My take is that you can no longer specify charging to stop at 80% automatically. The next time you charge your bike it should go to 100%.

I made a list of spare kit (all brand new and unused)

The standout question for me is why your knee and shin guards are in the bedroom? 🤔😂😉

    Home Batteries / Solar

I’ve been running an EV of some sort or another for about 10 years now, I’m familiar with the pros and cons. I can put about 50kWh into my car on a nightly basis, that would run the house for 3-4 days during peak, so doing a decent job of ‘power shifting’. I’ll need to check the maths nearer...

    Home Batteries / Solar

The materials in a big battery pack are of value, and that’s even the case with small disposable batteries. There’s a reason most supermarkets have free collection/disposal bins, companies buy them to recover valuable minerals and compounds, they don’t do it out of kindness. Our neighbours...

More agile than a Turbo Levo

I ride mostly in trail, with boost for the few steep hills I have, it’s an easy 25 miles on my routes.

More agile than a Turbo Levo

I have thought about it, but really the 500 lasts me all the rides I do, if I want distance I’ve got my Jam2 and a couple of range extenders. I don’t ride the Levo much really, but when I do I love the motor compared to the Jam2 e8000, but to be fair that’s been really good and hasn’t missed a...

More agile than a Turbo Levo

Yes, 500Wh battery in my base alloy. Stock wheels should be ok, they fit the RS 35 Silvers, and Lyrik Ultimates on mine. Actually, on just checking I’m running the stock Specialized wheels now anyway, I switched briefly to the Nukeproof ones when I tried fitting some Fox 36s, which needed the...

More agile than a Turbo Levo

I’m running some middle of the range Nukeproof wheels, mainly because the stock ones wouldn’t take a Fox fork, not because they were significantly heavier. I’m running Lyrik Ultimates now, much lighter than the base RS 35 Silver it came with, along with some lighter tubeless tyres over the...

More agile than a Turbo Levo

Easiest way if it was a new bike is that some extra headset inserts will be in the zipped pouch containing the charger etc.

More agile than a Turbo Levo

My 2022 Gen 3 base alloy has the adjustable head angle set, I thought all Gen 3s did?

More agile than a Turbo Levo

As others have said, the Zeb is a great fork for the gnarlier stuff, very good on my base alloy Levo, but overkill for my riding. I’m happier with the RS Lyrik Ultimates on it now, noticeably lighter and better for my trail orientated riding. Tyres are a very personal thing, and need to be...

More agile than a Turbo Levo

Isn’t that like asking what sports car is best for towing a caravan?! 😂 The Levo is a good all rounder and the motor is nice and torquey. Not the most powerful, but a bit of a ‘goldilocks’ bike. The problem with the more agile e-bikes is whilst they’re lighter, they’re also generally...

    Wiggle...where next ?

If you’ve got a decent LBS, great, you’re lucky and why not use them. Unfortunately, that’s not my experience, and I suspect I’m not alone. My local shop is Rutland Water Cycling, also an online seller as well of course (they’ve always been great with me, by the way) and that’s where I head...

    Wiggle...where next ?

Like others I use Merlin for their specials, usually quite competitive on run out forks etc. I’ve used Certini quite a bit the last couple of years too, always been good service and whilst not the cheapest, nor were Wiggle/CRC for some stuff.

    Post-Bankruptcy Pole Support Thread

Sadly, customers awaiting orders are usually way down the list of creditors to be paid back when a company ceases trading. They’ll be behind taxes, secured creditors, and employees owed salaries usually, to name but three. Best to hope for is that people paid with a credit card and they can...

How are eMTBs 1/3 the price of a Tesla model 3?

Some EMTBs are 1/3 the price of a car/motorbike/whatever simply because that’s what the market will pay. That’s the top and bottom of it, surely? Whilst I hesitate to go back to Tesla, whilst they are ‘vertically integrated’, they still buy a lot of stuff in and they were still eye wateringly...

How are eMTBs 1/3 the price of a Tesla model 3?

Yeah, I guess all cars have potential failure points, my wife’s car has black trim so no chrome to peel off at least. For all their faults, China seem to be able to screw Tesla’s together ok, and I think the LR 3 years ago still used a Fremont built battery so kind of the best of both worlds...

How are eMTBs 1/3 the price of a Tesla model 3?

I think a lot of anti EV commentators forget that most EV drivers used to be ICE drivers too, so do have a comparator to inform their thoughts/comments.

How are eMTBs 1/3 the price of a Tesla model 3?

My wife has a Chinese built M3 LR, her choice, but it is very well built. It has just turned 3 years old and 60k miles, and hasn’t missed a beat, panel gaps and paint are excellent, it’s needed a new rear light (under warranty) and normal tyres and wipers etc, otherwise zero maintenance. If...

How are eMTBs 1/3 the price of a Tesla model 3?

Agreed there, I owned a Mk1 RS3 and before that an Audi S2, and the 5 Cylinder engine note is one of my favourites! I’m a fan of cars, whatever powers them, a good car is a good car at the end of the day.
