I am very pleased to announce that Specialised of Chelmsford dealt with the problem. They returned it to Wahoo and within five working days received a reply replacing the unit.
A brilliant result and I am most pleased.
I bought a Wahoo Roam in January 2019 for £300 and it has now burst into flames. It was not being charged, or plugged in at the time and has left a severe scorch mark on the table.
Although the warranty expired last year, do you think I have any recourse with the store or the manufacturer?
My 2020 Levo Comp has over 9,000 miles on the clock with 6,400 so far this year.
The battery is 100% and the only problem was a split power cable 2,000 miles ago replaced under warranty.
This is a huge improvement on my 2016 Levo that ate motors, batteries and even snapped the axel in the bottom...

I used Essential Wraps of Glos. to protect my new Levo. They charged me £120 to wrap the frame and forks and did a splendid job. As they are based very close to the Forest of Dean and they did the job in one day, it made perfect sense after collecting it to go into the forest to try it out.
