The wife's Rise motor is making noises. Sounds like a bearing or gears going out. This is a new noise, after a little more than 2 thousand miles of single track. Are these prone to being noisy, but still holding together for quite a while or should we just bite the bullet and replace the...
How'd you get them to replace the motor? My wife's Rise, at just a couple of months over 2 years was making a lot of noise and Shimano won't do anything. We were quoted $1100 for a new motor.
Found this:

"E-bikes that are permitted for use in the Cumberland trail network are pedal-assist Class 1 e-bikes only."
Works for me.
More great info.
Do you think the beauty of Rathtrevor Beach Park trumps the convenience of Englishman River Falls Park?
We're use to camping without access to power, the solar panels and batteries we have don't have any trouble keeping up with ebike charging, but we usually camp in sunny...
I'm planning a trip up the west coast this May-June. I'm looking for good ride ideas. What's the ebike access (legal, or ignored) in
Jackson Demonstration Forest (Mendocino)
Can anyone suggest some good ebike rides & ride areas on Vancouver island? I'm planning a trip there, May-June, we hope to go all the way up the island. We'll be in a camper van. Good riders, we like technical blacks but nothing wrong with a fun blue or green either. My experience on...
I'm going to be visiting San Diego area around christmas. What's legal to ride emtb around San Diego? It looks like Daley ranch is legal?
Where is it ignored, or sparsely travelled?
Thanks
Near you is Jeffco, city of Lakewood (Green mtn and Bear Crk lake), CO State Parks (Staunton SP is a great ride). Be nice and low key and ride what you want to ride elsewhere.
@RobG
You're right about the far left, but you're post is mostly wrong.
Jefferson County, Colo, where ebikes are allowed on county open space is left of center.
Colorado state parks are open to ebikes, the state government is controlled by Democrats.
The big push against ebikes is coming from a...
I find it too fast at times also. It doesn't change with the gears like the older system did.
I found this in one of the Shimano docs:
I'm surprised that it's 2mph, it feels faster, but it's probably right because when you need walk mode it's steep and technical and 2 mph is fast.
I have an 8010 battery that's going to be warranteed. Since they are backordered and not available until Dec, I'm thinking about opening it up to see if there is a loose connection that might be fixable. Has anyone opened one of these up? Will it be evident to Shimano (which might void the...
