I'm also using an old phone. The app I usually use is Locus Map. There are cheap silicone mounts on Amazon. You can download maps from openandromaps, and GPX tracks from trailforks, or whatever source you want, and install. To be clear, OS maps (open street maps), is a database, not an...
You should look for demo days. I demo'd Commencal, Spec, & Haibike at a demo in Aspen & bought the Commencal. Commencal, and, I think, YT sell direct. You might have to plan a vacation.
As far as dealer attitudes, I have one that was stocking Specialized ebikes, the others were OK...
AGM. A 200 ah Renogy. Thats about 2400 watt hours. With 2 500 wh e-bike batteries, I should be able to charge those up in the morning and stay above 50% state of charge on the AGM battery and if it's sunny, or I drive the van I'll get the AGM recharged on the same day. If you only have 1...
I have a promaster (ducato) set up for camping and bikes. I'll post some pics when I get a few minutes. I just added another battery and solar panel. Now I have 390W solar, and 200+ amp hours of 12V battery. 2000W xantrex true sine inverter.
I've measured the shimano charger at 175-180W.
None of the national parks I've been to had any trails open to mtb's, just a few dirt roads. It's BLM access that's going to make the difference, and then national forest.
Count me as confused then too. Where are you getting your information? It looks to my like it is 30 days and e-bikes are allowed. The BLM has 30 days to update there regs. We don't have to wait for the signs to change.
To clarify, this is only for BLM and national parks, not national forest. It is a big deal, there are trails that I can now ride close to my house, and Moab! National parks, no big deal, they ban regular mtbs from all single tracks, only dirt roads are open, with a few exceptions.
Clean and lube more often. If you never lube I can see it wearing out in that time. I brush it off with a grunge brush. Lube with pedros or finish line dry or wet. I'm trying the purple extreme now. Everytime I meet someone with a broken chain they're using a wax lube so I stay away...
My commencal came with 2.6 hans dampf and magic mary. Can't complain, but I'll probly try minions when they wear out, that's what I have on the front of my ripley & really like it.
For those with a similar big tire setup, what tire pressure are you running? I'm about 150 lb (68 kg) & running...
I think mine starts to taper at 18 mph and is done at 20. I think that's a good way to do it, I'd rather not have a sharp cutoff. Commencal with Shimano.
I timed the cadence in walk mode. 5 sec for 1 rev. slow, but I think it was slower before. Maybe some one out there that hasn't updated the firmware could measure
