Thanks for your advice Gary. I have checked out your friend's website and may well use their services.
When you say that the full lift system is not open until July, is that because there is still too much snow up top?
Hi. A few of us have booked to go to the French Alps next June (all e-mtbs of course) and was wondering if anyone on here has done any of the cross country routes around the Morzine area? Any hints or tips on the best CC trails for e-mtb in that area would be most welcome.
Sounds like a rim problem to me - maybe not a fault in the rim, but a design problem. Try reducing the pressure right down below 20 psi. I ride 2.6 tyres on rear at 17/18 psi and have never had a fail. It you're on 2.8 tyres they will operate just fine around 15 psi. Worth a try!

I recently spend an entire day (literally!!) with 3M Helicopter tape and managed to get completed around half what an invisframe kit would cover. Marking and cutting out all the pieces I needed took so long and I soon lost the will to live. Invisiframe did not do a kit for my bike, hence the DIY...
Very interesting jsalas - and at the same time, slightly concerning regarding the quality of the E-thirteen hub! Have you contacted E-Thirteen at all to see what they have to say about it? Would be interested the hear their response.
Simply removing the seal would not really be an option here...
Sutton Bank Paradise red route today. 19 miles. Nice varied ride on a mix of prepared single track, open moorland, rocky woodland trail and a little bit of road.
Not a seat I know, but these cycle shorts made a massive difference for me. Amazing things. They have the 600 series padding and i wont ride without them now! They are not cheap but my ass is worth it ;)

Jsalas2 Just interested as my wife has this bike .......... how many miles have you covered on yours and what sort of terrain? ie Is it generally very muddy, sandy or dusty?
I would be very interested to hear the result/findings when your bike goes in for repair.
I think you may be going off on a bit of a tangent here Gary. We're talking about tyres here, not people!
I look at the tread, the compound, casing strength, the size, the grip etc to make my tyre choices.
I see the shoulder knobs on the SS and can see it would give good grip when leant over...
