Pivot Shuttle

Coldn't find a thread for the Shuttle... We need a thread for the Shuttle.

Anyone own or tried one? Is it a twitchy plastic bike thanks to short seatstays and a lightweight carbon frame? Or is it the ultimate ebike currently on offer? I've read a few reviews, but it would be interesting to hear what you think. If you got one, body height and frame size pleas?

Ebikes are almost made for steep climbs, but I had to work quite a bit with seat and handlebar position to make this one climb as well as it descends. But then I'm 181/5'11 on a Medium frame.

Both I'm doing a test on it, plan is to sell it later this season. But we'll see, might decide to keep it.

Yeah, it's quite expensive in most countries. Fortunately price is very competitive in my part of the world. Here the Pivot Shuttle is actually cheaper than the Scott eGenius 710 and Specialized Turbo Levo FSR Expert Carbon. It costs the same as a Merida eOne-Sixty 900E.

Still, it really is more money than I'm comfortable spending. So I'm not sure I'll keep it after the test.

Wow, I have an e-genius 710 and love it but I know where my money would have gone if the Shuttle had been the same price over here!

I rode one the other day on singletrack and it was brilliant. It absolutely made big roots, small ledges and other trail features easier to navigate faster. What was particularly odd to me as a an ebike newbie was it's abilty to get over stuff while going up hill.I did about 30 miles and 2k feet with 2 out of 5 battery bars remaining. I am 6'3" and fit an xl very well. While others complained of the noise i didn't mind it. What i did not like was the clunking/jerking you got when going on the power. If you coast then start pedalling it clunks. I tried soft pedaling then on power again and it clunked. I was surprised by this, but i guess it could be gotten used to. Nice bike.

Whilst a lovely machine, i just cant get my head round the price - the Ghost Slammr is similar spec, carbon and near enough half the price. I know pivots are bike porn and expensive anyway, but 9k!! Also getting the battery out aint easy!

Would be interested to try one back to back with a Kenevo, and my Vitus

I know right, £9K

But, it’s 19.95 KG, top spec everything and custom design around the Shimano E8000, Di2 shifting, with the battery integrating into the frame.

You’re likely also paying a chunk towards R&D and their investment in this.

I just think at that price it has to be pretty revolutionary.

If you are looking for a neatly integrated, yet easily accessible battery then Specialised have that licked, no other bike has as well an integrated battery that is still easily removable

Having said that if i won the lottery i would probably get one, in black, just because they look so sick!

Also i just wild my Vitus, size L, and its coming in at 18.6 kg with the battery on ( which i was pretty amazed at, and feel like i have to double check in the morning!)

I know, its listed as 22kg for an XL in the review pink bike just posted on the Vitus, i was using my luggage scale and am pretty sure its telling porkies! The battery itself is 2.66kg.
