Pole Internal Gear Transmission /MGU Integration Thread

It is not a standard 6-bolt rotor but the brake rotors are available from a 3x3 dealer when ordering the hub.

In your posts on the German ebike forum you kindly posted more pictures, including this one: Could kindly take more detailed pictures please? I am interested in seeing how Nicolai designed the rear sprocket to go without the stubber. Thank you.

This would mean that if the battery goes flat one cannot change the gears, correct?

You can swap between these two batteries. The frame is identical. Mounting points, the lock etc are the same for both batteries.

New Nicolai with Pinion gearbox announced

I see you point quite well. If I had not made a mistake with Voima and stayed patient for a year longer, I would be having these vision vs wallet and wallet vs vision mind battles. But I was inpatient so no money for Nicolai. Full stop. I am not a magician and where I live money does grow on...

If it was up to me, this would be my choice choice hierarchy: 1. black anodized (not possible apparently) 2. black painted, the one that was shown on the black MGU bike with the adventure pack 3. raw 4. British racing green 5. purple (for this combo, absolutely everything else would have to be...

New Nicolai with Pinion gearbox announced

Yes, I do, even though currently I do not have funds for one. People buy Specialized bikes for 14-15k, road bikes around the same price mark. Top of the range Scott bikes are crazy expensive. Or, if you prefer city bikes, have a loot at Stromer l, for example. There is a lot of cash on the...

2025 ZF Bike Eco System - New Motor!

This will never happen, ever. If anyone thinks that ZF will be this fluffy friendly teddy bear and be your best buddy with all the parts, info, manuals, what not, get off the stuff you have been smoking. ZF will not be special in this approach. All manufacturers move towards this idea. Right to...

Gearbox EMTB's that you can buy (+IGH bikes)

The Eurobike 2024 stuff was great. DJI, ZF and other announcements. However, I will not be buying another ebike unless it is a MGU type. For this reason, the barely mentioned Villiger Dynamic Drive is something that caught my attention. It is a very early stage but if they can deliver what they...

    Post-Bankruptcy Pole Support Thread

Given Pole is currently bankrupt/insolvent, they officially do not exist for the purpose of a running company. Whether they will rise from the ashes like a phoenix, I really hope so but who knows. Only time will tell.
