Orbea Rise should be a good choice I am hoping to session trails more quickly on an eMTB and that is part of the reason for getting one, and hopefully get more skill progression. I am thinking of going for a lighter weight eMTB too as I want it to handle more like my non assited trail bike.

The Trek Rail 9.7 is a great bike, my mate has just got one and he loves his too.

I find that the Sram X01 and XX1 chains last 2-3 times longer than the GX chains. They are more expensive, but work out cheaper in the long run.
