Scraping noise from Rise H motor

My son tells me he hears the same noise from my M10 when he rides it that you describe. I can't really hear it too much...maybe if I listen real close and imagine a noise. I have some high frequency hearing loss from too much moto racing as a kid and I'm now an old goat so I can't hear subtle...

Is Orbea Rise M up to the task?

E-bikes in general are more prone to problems than analog bikes due to greater technology. I have friends with non-Orbea bikes that have had many more problems than I hear about with the Rise. Clearly, individuals with a Rise have had some problems. I can only speak from my experience and a...

Rise H15 with no LBS or Levo alloy with LBS

I think both can have the good and the bad. Specialized being a larger bike company might have a little better ability to take care of things, but that's just my thoughts. I've never had to deal with warranty issues on my Rise and I've never had a specialized bike, so I really have no experience.

Rise H15 with no LBS or Levo alloy with LBS

I've had mine for 18 months and have never had a problem that required anything significant. Others have had problems that required dropping the motor for loose wire connections. I think it's quite unlikely that you would have major problems, but any bike can. I have friends that have had...

Rise H15 with no LBS or Levo alloy with LBS

It depends on how comfortable you are with working on an e-bike yourself. If you feel comfortable in doing things like dropping the motor and re-routing wires if needed then go with the Orbea. If you're like me and would rather have a shop do major work on the bike, go with the Levo...

    Rise charging port screw size?

Haha, I didn't even look at the specs in the manual. I just saw the tape measure photo and thought "I could be very helpful and convert that to mm quickly". Made my post useless. Thanks. Metric measurements are soooo much better than our American way of doing it.

    Rise charging port screw size?

About 5/16 inch threaded equals 8mm threaded length.

    Two surprises in one day

Dude, you have a great attitude. I would have been a little more peeved than that. My son got a little yanked around trying to buy an Orbea Wild 18 mos ago and the shop really stood up and took good care of him. Ended up getting one level up from what he wanted for CHEAPER than what he was...

M Rise LTD SE in the house!

Yeah, those look like e thirteen crank arms. They gotta go especially if they're the carbon ones, right Rick. Brakes for me are just fine. I feel no need to change them or the rotors at all. They stop me just fine.

Just curious if there is any sub 19kg Rise hydro built available?

40lbs?? Not a chance. 19Kg by the way is closer to 42lbs. 41.8lbs to be exact. MAYBE they could get a super light H build close to that, but it would be a stretch. Probably closer to 44lbs which is within the range of "claimed manufacturer weights" and the real world. Bikes are always lighter...

Is the e13 crank issue now fixed?

I agree. This is very annoying to not be able to get a definitive answer as to placement of the crank arms in relation to the hole. Should we take a poll and go by majority rule or just flip a coin? Does it really matter. Probably not.

Is the e13 crank issue now fixed?

Two questions: 1. Why the heck are the Shimano crank arms impossible to find in the US??? 2. Are the pre-load caps for the Shimano arms just standard shimano crank pre-load caps or are they e-bike specific?

    Weight a minute……

I shaved off 6 grams by switching all of the screws and bolts on the bike to titanium and an additional 5 grams by filling the tires with helium. Then I ate a double cheeseburger with bacon and fries and gained 4 pounds. Titanium and helium = $250. One cheeseburger $7. I think it's cheaper and...

    Actual Rise Weights??

Exactly!!! I don't enjoy riding my bike without pedals. I'd love to live at the top of the endless hill (where is that by the way?), but even then, a little bump gets pretty uncomfortable without pedals. I get it, different pedals weigh differently, but at the very least, put some lighter...
