Thanks, I appreciate the info, but I already knew a hangers purpose and have the tool. I've broke a quite few mechs in my day, a bit unlucky I guess, but strangely my first hanger in 20 years . Post was more about thankfully finding the replacement hangers on the same day it broke and getting...
Where in the bay do you live? I ride my Rise everywhere around Napa, and North Bay. I also don't ride one like a douche and I'm an insanely courteous trail user so I've never had an issue even in places I shouldn't. I ride hard but don't care about slowing down for a hiker or stopping for an...
Snapped my hanger on a rock today....thankfully X01 derailleur is ok. I was a bit worried I wouldn't be able to find replacement in time to go to Downieville in a few weeks...thankfully after a bunch of phone calls, I have two hangers in hand so I can fix my Rise tonight.
As a 300lb super clyde, 638 is magic. My Rise pivot linkage loosened after almost every ride. 5 times in 8 rides. Since applying loctite 638, and 20+ rides and about 500 miles, there is still zero play in the linkage.
To slam it I had to trim the cable endcap in half at the bottom of the post. It gave the cable more flexibility to bend around the power box. Post works perfectly slammed
FAQ on insertion depths for the rail are wrong. When I got my 2020 Rail 7, the Trek Chart said large was 300mm. I run a 210mm Oneup v2 slammed to the collar on my Rail 7.
My h15 charges to 100% and stayed full even after a 12hr charge the had stayed at 100% for as long as a week when I charged for a ride then ended up not riding…..
My H15 Does not do it, which I did mention in the other thread, and connected easy to my Garmin 1030. I spoke directly to Orbea and was told the only smart function of their charger is volt selection which changes based on whether you're charging the internal battery or Rise H extender.
I used a Magura MDR-P 203mm rotor on the rear and a Bosch 6-bolt magnet but I swapped to a different wheelset. Bosch also makes center lock magnets. Bosch Magnet for Slim Speed Sensor - For Centerlock Hubs
Rise H linkage arms are really loose. Had creaking in my first 100 miles...at 1st i thought it was my seat. Took a while until I noticed play in the main pivot which I assumed was loose from factory. I tightened to spec and loosened after about 15 miles into a 25 mile ride. Then Loosened...
I was amazed at how much dirt and grime was in between the linkages & the bearings when I removed everything to add Loctite 638 retaining compound to the Main pivot axle splines. All of the bearings...seat stays, yoke mount, and main pivot were grimy. I've only had the bike since end of...
I was amazed at how loose the fit is with the Rise linkage arms. When I swapped my 2018 Rallon to the 2020 Rally-on Linkage, the Arms took an hour to pull apart. The Rallon Linkage had a super tight fit and didn't slip a bit in 5000 miles. My Rise slipped 4 times in 4 rides when torqued...
When I swapped linkages on my 2018 Rallon to the 2020 version, The Rallon had extremely tight tolerances and was difficult to remove. Rise linkage to spline connection is loose by comparison. 1000's of miles on my Rallon and never any play ever and don't expect any
