On my Rail I've stripped a 54t Ratchet on a DT Swiss 350 hub and an I9 torch hub. I9 warranty was awesome. It was out of warranty on my first set of SC Reserves from 2018. I9 replaced the rear hub rebuilt the wheel with a Hydra for $100 and haven't had an issue since. About 1000 miles on...
Personally I don't, but I can pick my Rise over my head with one arm.....my friends that's 150lbs, 68kg he doesn't seems to care at all and hasn't touched his Stumpy since. I'm sure you wouldn't have an issue, and if you felt it at first, I'm sure you'd get used to it pretty quick. All it...
I'm a huge guy, bought a Rail to climb faster so I could ride with friends that climb faster and not hold up the group. The rail had too much power and I never used emtb or boost. The Rise has a much more useable powerband for me and feels like riding a regular bike, just climbing faster. It...
I'm 330 Running a DHX2 w/ 750lb EXT Spring & one offset bushing....I ran a 700lb SLS spring for a while but like the suppleness of the 750 w/ only 1 click of LSC. I run a Trust Shout 178mm linkage fork up front.....Also have a 22' Fox 38 G2, and a 23' Zeb and the Trust is just better through...
If you change your fork to any with 1.5" tapered steerer tube you do not need to change headset. If you went Fox 40 with standard steerer you would need a reducer crown race
A friend is going through the same issue fore the second time. Seems like a hub shortage so time unfortunately is what it is. Took 6 weeks for the first and has been the same so far this time and still not back yet. First replacement lasted 2 rides.
It's just 2 available settings that you can set as you wish. The idea is that you can set one for max power and one with less so that you can "work" more depending on how you want to ride
I pulled it off one of my other bikes. I tried to go back to regular forks….first the stock Factory 36, then 38, then the new 2023 Zeb Ultimate. Nothing felt as good through the rocky terrain I ride so I swapped back to it. It just works for me.. Now I have $3k worth of forks to sell 😂
Finally done swapping parts…Trust Performance Shout up front…nothing better through rocks….rolls through tech with ease. Fox DHX2 216x63 out back, SRAM X01 drivetrain, Raceface Next R Bars/Turbine R stem, Shimano XT M8120 Brakes 220mm rotors front and rear. Santa Cruz Reserve Wheels w/ Schwalbe...
The only reason I'm running the DHX2 is that I'm running the rear with 160mm of travel and the Trust fork is 178mm up front. Although Float X feels great, I didn't want to run a 30+mm difference in travel front to back as I ride really Rocky terrain. Float X runs at much lower pressures...
I actually love the Float X as a shock and if it came in Standard sizes to long stroke I would have got one in 216x63 but it is only in metric sizes. I Run a float X on my Transition Spur and Rallon (which I also have a dhx2 that I swap between). Float X is a great Clyde shock. I’ve ran...
I have a Trek Rail and my Rise, I prefer the Rise, but I only rode the Rail in ECO/eMTB lite. I don't really use Boost unless I'm descending Strangely enough....helps me keep speed better on undulating terrain. Climbing I like to still do work which on the Rail was a lot less even in eMTB...
My friend who blew out his Chosen Hub on his m20 got the warranty replacement hub (another Chosen) and since he bought the bike online, he had to take it to a local Orbea dealer for the warranty. Had to pay $240 in labor/parts to rebuild the wheel and the hub failed again in 3 rides. My friend...
