    Ebike Specific Chains .

I’m a firm believer of supporting the authentic one. Especially when the design is smart. If we don’t support these people who comes up with smart design, we might not see more innovations

    Reasonable Chain Wear?

Sadly I thrown away the old chain. I agree I shouldn’t touched it since it ain’t broken. I got suckered by GMBN tech saying to replace before broken. LOL That being said I had to replace the cassette and derailleur hanger at 600 miles due to accident where one of the cog got bent.

    Reasonable Chain Wear?

I have an Orbea 12 speed and just changed my chain at 1000 miles not km. I started to check the chain at around 700 miles which wore 50% but I have not had any problem of skipping gears or shifting. At 1000 miles I had 75% and even though I had not experienced any problem I changed it anyway...

    Riding at night?

Why do people feel the need to insult others heritage or origins? I tend to find other people cultures fascinating. This place is filled with people from all cultures, thus makes this a lively and vibrant community

I did this on my H30 and took me one hour. I did not need to drop the motor. Just fish the wire in. Pretty easy

    full face helmet or not??

Safety is always about compromise. More safety is usually more uncomfortable, either motorcycling, car racing or biking. In racing we are regulated on what is required of us, not in regular day to day. Even then some choose more than minimal required and some choose the minimal. In the end it...

    Complaint to the manufacturers

Please take time to watch the video I posted above. In short, yes it’s fine to clamp on the seat post of dropper. But for safety it should be at the most extended position

    Why I love my LBS

Great LBS, but damn I thought the new motor solved the problems. I guess they just extend warranty and problems are still there

Going from ebike to a normal bike

I’m with @R120. It allows me to ride everyday and go to the highest point and try all the trails all in under 2 hours. A regular bike ride will be all day and I would need the next day as rest day. It improves my skill tremendously.

Does anyone use a car inverter to charge their battery on-the-go?

Yes that is Tesla Frunk. I just did 3 weeks road trip and always charge in the frunk. I have Giant Reign E+ 1. The charger specify output of 48v. Like I mentioned I also run 300w inverter in my Honda Element as I usually use that car and my finding is it’s good for one of those charger but not...

Does anyone use a car inverter to charge their battery on-the-go?

Btw, Gordon calculation is actually wrong. You need at least 4A x 36v =144W. As I mentioned I used 300W to charge using the 6A and it works fine. Cause I only needed 6Ax36v=216W. Do not use cigarette lighter, not enough. You also need to install inline fuse if you are connecting your inverter...

Does anyone use a car inverter to charge their battery on-the-go?

You need 300w inverter if you’re using Bosch 6A charger, even less with the 4A charger. I’ve done this, although on my last trip I did go with 1000W because I was charging 2 batteries at the same time. there are advantages on running the smallest possible inverter. With 300A charger if you’re...

    Anyone lost a Kiox?

Not yet. I’ve been in some falls. Question, rather than secure it with a cord, why not just mount it permanently with a screw in the back. They do have provision for this

    Speed cutoff on Bosch

I have an Orbea Wild FS. On my 3 weeks road vacation I did a lot of flat riding so I’ve noticed something that I haven’t before. I have USA version 1. The assist stop at around 18.8 mph 2. At close to level the turbo and touring doesn’t vary much in power assist 3. Lowering the tire...
