First rips on the e fattie last night. Took the summer wheelset off and threw the winters on a couple days ago but still insisted on riding the bullit in the snow on friday. It wasn't bad but then we got more snow and I had to ride a hardtail again.
On a side note, the bike powered up in the...
We went for a rip last night and there was a little too much snow lol. We ended up having to walk the bikes here and there. The snow had a crust that felt like it was grabbing the tries and holding you back, good ride nonetheless.
This is Northern Ontario Canada btw

Tell your buddy not to waste his time or money, Specialized loves lawsuits and has had a lot of practice, it's usually them bullying little companies but same same...

Can the kick stand be adjusted at all? Can a different kick stand be fitted that doesn't interfere?
Both of those avenues would be a lot cheaper and simpler than dicking with cranks imop.

Good to hear you're riding again man!
Since weight doesn't matter as much on an eeb and its rocky af here, I run dh casing tires tubeless with cushcore f/r. The only time I get flats now is when I break a spoke and it pops a hole in the rim tape or I get a serious slash in the tire

Yaya, been riding the crap out of the bike but haven't made too many changes so I haven't posted.
The 40 is put away for the winter and there's a new project in the garage. I picked up a 1968 Chevrolet c10 stepside shortie about a month ago so I've been messing with that.
Vid of the ride last...
I have 3 wheelsets for my ep8 equipped bike and often swap them, never have I had any speed sensor issues. Are you swapping between 29" and 27.5"? Also after the first error code why not swap the original magnet onto the new wheel? Would take all of 10 seconds dude.

I don't dare call it retorquing but putting a wrench on key bolts before a ride isnt the dumbest thing to do. Finding a loose bolt at home is way more convenient than finding it out on the trail.

Most of my creaks have ended up to be cranks on ebikes. Taking the arms off, cleaning the mating surfaces and reinstalling does the trick every time.

I run Hayes dominion a4's with with uberbike race matrix pads and magura mdrp rotors. I love this combo and friends who've ridden my bike comment on how well the brakes work. I used to run shimano saints till I got tired of leaky masters and no warranty from shimano.

Lol, I guess I'm the only one who hits the self serve car wash after a muddy ride? 3 1/2 years and not 1 issue, the bike does live in a heated garage so it dries out nicely.
Also, bike cleaning products are a scam, stop wasting your money!

I've found that a rain shell with layers suits me best, and for biking armpit vents are a must have. For the last 3 years I've been using the Black Diamond Stormline stretch rain jackets. They're waterproof, stretchy, fairly tough and they have pit zips unlike most mtb jackets I've seen. The...
I stopped using my stand and just hang the bike with a ratchet strap from the ceiling to work on it now. Helps I have a hoist beam in the garage, but any hook screwed into a joist would do. If I'm taking the wheels off the bike is upside down on the floor.
