    Shimano ep8

I've been pretty lucky with the ep8's and e8000 I've owned/own. The e8000 Norco bigfoot is an 18' model year and it sees -20 temps along with mud, slush and rain in the spring and fall, no issues. Gets rinsed off at the car wash regularly, no issues. My 23' bigfoot ep8 only has 700km so far...

    23' Norco Bigfoot vlt

It was a pain but doable. You have to drop the motor to route the rear then find the right combination of bolts and washers to make everything work. I went to 200mm rotors front and rear btw. D

    Who needs a E-Fatbike??? (former Moose Manic 2 post ;) )

Speaking of overrun, I was talking to a dude who was adamant the ep8 doesn't have it but both of mine do. It's not adjustable but the motor does keep going for a second after you've stopped pedalling. On the 801, how vast is the adjustment range and how long can you make it last? @knut7 D

Interesting observation, my bigfoots ep8 seems to be way more powerful than my Bullit ep8. D

    Who needs a E-Fatbike??? (former Moose Manic 2 post ;) )

Thanks! There's a new project in the garage now (the c10 shortie) so the bikes got shoved in a corner lol. It's kind of nice because it gave me an excuse to kick all of my buddies bikes (3) out that they'd been stashing there. Just Dan's 26" vlt left now and that's hopefully gonna be gone soon...

    Who needs a E-Fatbike??? (former Moose Manic 2 post ;) )

Nice bike! The difference between the 27.5 and 26 is pretty drastic imop. The centrifical forces are pretty crazy with the 27.5s and you really notice it at speed when turning or trying to maneuver the bike. Also, the butt to rear tire clearance suffers so you're constantly getting buzzed when...

    Who needs a E-Fatbike??? (former Moose Manic 2 post ;) )

Honestly dude, the difference in diameter is quite drastic and the sidewall is about the same. Here's an old 26" vlt on 4.8 Dillingers compared to a newer 27.5 vlt with 4.5 cake eaters. The two bikes handle noticeably differently. As an aside, that old vlt with the e8000 is a freaking...

    Who needs a E-Fatbike??? (former Moose Manic 2 post ;) )

I too would ideally want an fs e fattie since I hardly ever ride the groomed bike path trails but the offerings were slim when I bought my vlt. I wanna say Foes and Bulls made them and the bulls isn't available in Canada. Not that I would have picked it over a Foes e mutz... money was the...

    2022 Bullit build

Dreaded riding the hardtail fattie so much I took the ice spiker'd bullit out in the snow last Friday lol. Wasn't super terrible but a fattie would have been better, I guess... https://youtube.com/shorts/wPapeN-RXqw?si=70CN8szlh-1NWPrN D
