Am I right in thinking the warranty on the brose motors on the new gen 3 Levi’s is 2 years, but warranty re-starts if you have a new motor fitted - ie 2 years per motor?
TIA
didn't realise the wheels were only 28 spoke. how 'soft' are the rims? i'm a fairly heavy rider ( 16 stone) and ride fairly aggressively on a lots of loose rocky downhils in the peak district. the OEM wheels on my old (sadly stolen) trek rail where terrible and had ruined the rear within a month...
after months of waiting for for my SC heckler order and no delivery date in sight, i'm considering cancelling and ordering a gen 3 turbo levo expert as there's a bit of stock around (already missed most of the summer riding, don't want to miss it all).
i don't get on with SRAM 12 spd drive...
I don’t think any of the new hecklers have reached the UK yet. I ordered mine a couple of weeks after release and was fortunate to get one put in my name that my LBS had allocated to them in the first batch due for delivery. Nothing firm in terms of dates, possibly end of august. Parts supply...
wouldn't bother with linkglde unless the current XT drivetrain is worn out - as linkglide is 11 spd iirc you would likely need new shifter, mech, cassette and chain - a lot of money for negligible gain, it would take a long time for any increases in durability to offset the cost of have to...
have they changed the head tube on the new rail?
on my old 2020 (sadly now stolen) rail, it was plug an play when i upgraded the fork to fox 38's - used the exiting headset and crown race. i'm not sure if i'm missing something here but the fox 38's are 1 1/8 to 1.5 tapered as was the head set...
that's a little concerning, i was hoping the 3rd party battery performed better than the shimano ones (although i guess it's the efficiency of the motor) and would find it a little galling to only get similar ranges form a bigger battery - do find it's prety constant in it's performance like...
thanks for all the input so far, appreciated and seems to confirm the impressions i had. i've tried the E8000 on my mates decoy and the Bosch feels a significant improvement on that, so i guess its a case of how much of an improvement is the EP8 over the E8000?
is that with the shimano...
I’m sure this will of been asked before, however has any one got time in both motors and card to share their real works experience on differences?
in The market for a new e-bike as my bikes got stolen at the weekend. Had about a 1000 trouble free miles on the the Bosch in my trek rail and...
unfortunately after having both of my bikes stolen this weekend (bronson and Rail) i'm back to bike shopping.
anyone know what the lead times in the UK are for the new rails (with bigger battery) is currently? will do some ringing around but trying to pull together a short list first
they're not really designed to work down to those temps, they're a fairly thin windproof glove. what they are good at is for the the autumn to spring period when it's too cold for normal gloves but above freezing. the Hydromatic ones are a little warmer but for anything below -1 / -2 i'd be...
I’m 187cm / 6ft 1 and ride a large. I could ride either a large or an XL I reckon, but went for a large as they’re big heavy bikes to be heaving about and figured the large would be a bit more manoeuvrable. The large fits ok, sometimes feels a little tight, mainly on really steep stuff where I a...
if your still looking, i've got a 170mm bontrager dropper i took off my rail in favour of a 210 oneup post. sitting in the shed gathering dust. let me know if you're interested. pot only though as kept the remote for the new post
Quick update on this, finally managed to catch one up with some stock and a 210 fits fine on a large rail. Running it with about 10mm of post above the seat clamp, but can run it fully slammed
I had a warranty claim with them back in April after my rail battery fell out when riding, communication from them wasn’t great but they sorted the claim quick enough. I’ve got a feeling though that you can put in a warranty claim with any of treks dealer network so don’t have to use them...
