looking to move to coil shock on my gen 3 levo (S5 size) and currently running a cascade long shock link (with float X2). have narrowed down my shock choice to the TTXm.2 or the e-storia, however interested in hearing real world reports on how these shock perform with the cascade link...
having an issue with what i think is the internal battery in the mastermind TCU (gen 3 levo - TCU2 - non replaceable battery) and after a bit of a logic check / advice
went to go for a ride tonight and bike won't turn on and TCU is completely dead. the main battery for the bike is fully...
looking at upgrading the rear rotor on my turbo levo to a 220 form the stock 200 - i'm a heavy rider at 16.5 st and the current sram centre line rotors hasn't got quite enough bite when paired with the shimano saints
shimano still don't seem to have their act sorted out on 220 rotors, so...
Has any consensus been reached on how much the long shock kit is raising the BB compared to stock?
Very tempted to get one but 15mm increase or so seems quite a lot.
What are peoples real world impressions when riding?
I had a 2020 rail 9 for a couple of years before it got stolen, then replaced it with a 2022 levo expert which I’ve been riding for the past 6 months. In pretty every way I prefer the levo. Climbs better, descends better, more playful and easier to through around. The rail was fast with the 29...
front wheel washing tends to be for one (or a combination) of the following reasons:
- poor body positioning / not weighting the front wheel sufficiently (bar height and stem length length will also impact this)
- poor braking technique (easy to go a little heavy on the front brake at the wrong...
The mullet set up on a fairly slack bike and the stock height of the bars does tend to make the front wheel ‘flop’ a little and oversteer. Never really noticed it much actually on the trails though. I guess you get used to it and automatically account for it fairly quickly and you can’t get the...
Had anyone identified a rattle definitely coming from the motor? Went on my first ride on my levo expert and all was good other than a very loud rattle over rough stuf. Plenty of possible culprits to try identified above, but it sounds very Mitch like a far louder version of the motor rattle you...
don't know the answers to your question, however i'd get authorised repair centre to fit it to remove any comeback on any future warranty claims - ie. they can say you did something wrong fitting it
specialized have just put their prices up again - levo expert has gone up by £750 to £10K and the pro has gone up to £12K  alloys levo prices also increased. worth getting in on the blafes sale bikes
thank the lord they’re out of stock for the S5 expert otherwise I’d be feeling rather sick right now after just paying full price from spesh concept store!
Seems to mainly down to EU supply chain issues and moving assembly lines in Germany. I get her there’s decent availability in the states but bout EU/UK
dependent on size & spec you want me d get in quick as uk stock is limited. I got the last levo expert size S5 (xl) in maroon from the spesh UK warehouse. Chatting to several of the spesh guys they’re saying there’s the odd bit of stock around on shop floors and a little in the ware house, but...
Why what have jungle said?
I spoke to stif / jungle last week and they were very deliberate in not committing to any time scales because they couldn’t. They’d said they have had a small number of hecklers in but no XL’s and no shimano specced bikes so my order wasn’t amongst it. When pushed on...
Thanks, but from reading the above attachment it doesn’t look as if the bikes weight is included in the structural limit, only rider weight and cargo weight (unless I’m missing something).
This would seem to make sense other wise no one over c 16st / 225lbs / 100kg could ride their carbon...
be interested to hear how well it fits the levo when you get it. I like the idea of the longer coverage as well as some impact absorption to dissipate the force of the strike rather than transferring it into the original mounts on the bike
order is now in for a levo expert, however the motor casing looks like it could be a little fragile being composite. I ride on a lot of lose rock and the metal casing on my old trek took a real battering so looking to beef up the protection
what bash guard / skid plate wound people recommend...
