couple of pics of 'Mr President' on days 1 and 3 of the South Downs Way completed yesterday.
I've been his loyal subject for 6000kms, 2 and half years and 3 motors now.
've used many versions of Shimano and SRAM on pedal bikes over the years and a few SRAM 12 speeds more recently especially on the EBike @ 3000kms. Used to have a preference for Shimano but the GX set-up from SRAM has given me fewer headaches. I like the simple functioning clutch from SRAM and...
Same here.
If you start with low level of fitness then EMTB regularly will make an improvement.
If you start with reasonable level of fitness you will not get fitter and may become less fit in some senses.
Still good fun and good mental benefits.
I boght EMTB to keep up with a friend who is...
Thanks Steve
I think you have pretty much described my 'condition', although I am a bit fat on top of the stiffness, so maybe a double whammy on the neck roll.
As per Mikerb I am going to look into padding adjustment, a ruff. I'll also follow you suggestion of riser bar to raise the front a...
Thanks Mikerb
Ratchet and strap wise I have tried a lot, but I haven't done anything with padding or riding position. I will give those serious thought. I have been using a skull cap in the colder months and for a while I thought that was helping, but lately I'm not so convinced. A buff might be...
i've done it on previous helmets. basically shortening the rear straps to pull the helmet back,. feels like it will work at first, but ends up a bit strangley as the helmet rotates forwards
Is my head the wrong shape?
Every helmet I buy slips forward when descending, so that I end up not being able to see where I am going.
I try them on in the shop and get all the latest adjustments and widgets and they all end up being the same. Last one cost me 200 quid.
It is same with FF...
nice. we're heading to quantocks for couple of days' riding in couple of weeks time. Our plan is one day in Quantocks, which we sort of know and then a day on east of Exmoor which we don't know. Where should be start out on the latter?
I had the same conundrum when I bought the 2021 Whyte E160. I was on the margin of M/L frame size. I test rode the M and it felt short when in the saddle, but great when standing on the pedals. The shop recommended the M with a slightly longer stem. I was a bit concerned that increasing the stem...
megneg is definitely not the way to go solve your issue. I have installed one on my more basic shock and it has improved grip, but definitely left me lower in the travel
Mousemaggedon.
Also a fan of the peanut butter here.
I went through a phase of storing bikes upside down to oil the fork seals - read it in one of the mags! Result was a chewed titanium railed saddle and a holey saddlebag.
Well I seem to have the solution in the end. Now riding with virtually no foot ache.
So hands up those who said shoes. You were right and hands up those who said inserts cos you were right too.
As mentioned above I accidentally went out in old trainers one day and had no issues. Seemed a bit...
