I’m also a fan of MTX Gold for the same reasons plus better modulation. For those in North America, Summit Bicycles has them on closeout sale for $23 vs $35.
On my gen2 the bike didn’t turn on when wet after a motor replacement. I removed the four screws holding the left motor cover and pulled it back just enough to see the main cable sheathing was damaged allowing water in and shorting it out.
Since your issue started with a bash down there maybe...
Why not bring it in for a possible warranty repair? From your description it doesn’t sound like you did anything out of the ordinary. These things should be able to take a hit to the underside covers/bash guards and keep going, especially since yours isn’t physically broken.
I noticed that too when comparing my gen3 to my gen2 (only 3 pins in the plug vs 4 on gen2). Seems to be normal.
The reason why I even noticed it was my bike wasn’t turning on about a week after purchasing. There was a small piece of steel wire magnetically held in the socket that apparently...
I swapped the Centerline rotors for HS2 on my ‘22 Levo Expert with Code calipers first thing before even bedding in the brakes.
I now have almost 400 miles on the bike and since day 1 no rubbing, no warping, and much quieter than the centerline rotors on my ‘19 Levo. LOVE ‘EM!
Having said that...
@Specialized RnD
Thanks for the fix but I just noticed another bug.
Last jump distance on the TCU is different from Mission Control by 1 decimal place, at least for imperial units. Haven’t checked metric. Maybe a conversion issue for the TCU?
146.3 feet in only .42 seconds? I was flying!
Seems like as more people update MC the more this issue is coming to light. I have 2 friends with it too.
Like I said in my original post, I submitted to Specialized but no reply yet. If they do I’ll update this thread. I also tagged @Specialized Rider Care so hopefully we’ll all see a...
I noticed that too. My guess is the raw location data is there but there’s an issue with their mapping of it. What’s even stranger is the thumbnail previews are good.
I’m a bit over 5-10 and got to ride a buddy’s S5 demo and was surprised at how well it fit. A week later I demoed an S4 and it felt right but not by a lot. Per the sizing chart the S4 was a no-brainer and that’s what the dealer recommended so I bought an Expert and am happy with the fit...
After updating to the latest mission control, the maps of my rides are now blank with the message “trying to get location”. Funny thing is the thumbnail previews are good.
I tried logging out/in then uninstalled/reinstalled and still the same. Anyone else have this? Searched but no mention...
Just yesterday my ’22 Expert turned on when spinning the wheel backwards. My guess is it’s motor related since gen2 and gen3 are the same (ignoring the running improvements over the years).
In a pure sense yes but in this case I highly doubt it is charging the battery. Would be nice though! Spin it backwards on a stand or roll backwards down a hill to charge 😀
Seems to be normal. My 2019 did this since day 1 and the motor lasted almost 3 years and 4000 miles. Pretty amazing considering the horror stories out there. There’s a threshold and if you spin it backwards too fast it turns the bike on. Roll it back down a little slower and it probably won’t...
That’s the standard remote for Gen 3 with Mastermind TCU. I didn’t notice when buying my Expert but maybe non-mastermind models still come with the older remote and they gave you the newer. From a previous post it sounds like you have TCU1 so I guess that’s the case. Probably works the same...
