Ordered some replacement single chainring bolts by raceface and even though they are still single length not double or bash guard versions they are nearly 2mm long so now hold the chainring central
Agree buddy the aggressor is definitely the dark horse of the maxxis family,I like a rounded profile on a tyre especially on the back,I’ve also found in 2.5 format to be ok in wet conditions,I haven’t tried it yet but I’m sure it would be a good front tyre ?
Maybe I’ve just had bad luck with maxxis but with my experience with the brand I’m surprised they are so popular,I’ve had many wobbly carcasses from new on bikes or what I’ve bought and not just a little wobble..a buckled wheel wobble,I’ve warped them on the trail split two and they were double...
thanks buddy?ive just been searching for longer back nuts but they all seem to be the same, even the Shimano steps ones look (No dimensions given)any way about the same length so I’ve ordered some steel raceface ones, thinking about it though(even though I’d like to know why mines different...
Yes buddy the chainring had slipped round the spider only the amount of 1.5mm until it found the chainring bolt,I reckon the back nuts are too shallow ie if they were to stick out of the spider material into the chainring they would fill up the chainring hole diameter, even though I thought the...
I haven’t got a picture of what I noticed today but I could see that the chainring had slipped round and you could nearly see the start of the hole in the chainring, the bolts were tight but I undid and reset it’s position, looking at the setup though shouldn’t the back nut be longer(because it’s...
I had a reply off shimano Uk today via Facebook,it took a bit of explaining but I got there in the end?yes the 8036 has the same mounts as 8035 but it’s longer and will not fit into an existing 8035 aperture?

I only did 1 km on the road. I feel it's sticky! I will lose my autonomy with this extra soft eraser :) And small gravel hitting the frame (suction tire)
If you like a smaller bike you’ll feel fine on a medium,I have a large with supposedly 485mm reach I think yet my 2020 nukeproof scout has 460mm reach, how they work it out I don’t know?but my scout has a 15mm longer cockpit and you can feel it swapping between the two.?
cheers buddy ? I found the ewild very good,it hasn’t got the straight line grip as the assagai but cornering is on par but rolls soo much better, regards cockpit I’ve changed around a bit,I tried a 35 reach stem but ended up going back to the 40mm,I’ve also now got the v2 Nukeproof 800mm carbon...
It’s painted buddy but looks like almost chrome,I tried some paragon tape I think it was on eBay but it just kept lifting off after every ride,I ended up using three packs of mt zefal large protection tape pre cut packs from amazon,I think they were £10.50 each but really good.. not as thick as...
the dt Swiss rims ive had in the past have been excellent ie the rim tape on the six wheels I’ve had have never failed, the four wtb rims I’ve had have all failed eventually from new,on my last wtb clad bike I ripped the rim tape out and used gorilla tape which is thick with slight stretch in it...
Cheers buddy?I’m in no mega rush to do it as ive Been building and spending way too much on a Hardtail build!me and my wife are key workers so still working through lockdow, still sending me crazy though??
Yep me too,TBH when I converted my 2018 lyriks on my nukeproof mega to debonair I remember “the suck” that they are talking about as the forks after sat at 10-12% sag after I did them without me on the bike instead of the 5%ish previous,
Any of you guys thinking of doing your lyriks? I dont have a problem with the negative airspring side of this modification as I travel mine every 30psi when pumping up anyway, but the riding higher in its travel sounds good,I think it’s only just been announced because I can’t find any stockiest yet.
